this is the only drawback - bathroom was quite narrow. this was the only lowlight but can be easily overlooked given the cleanliness and other amazing amenities

the host and staff are very professional and hospitable . one of the best breakfast I have ever had anywhere with homemade fresh bread , eggs to name a few . the front desk staff is an amazing girl who will go above and beyond to help you and gives ideas on where to go about. it is centrally located , clean and you get to meet some amazing people staying at the property as well who you can connect with and have a good chat!

Unfortunately there were too many things that in my opinion didn't justify the relatively high price. - no kitchen at all, no fridge, nothing. - credit card payment not accepted (in Brazil you can pay by card everywhere) - very indoor small common room, with only two desks. If you need to work on your laptop, good luck to find a free spot. - The bottom of my old wooden bed fell apart during the night, which basically impeded my sleep, and the day after I got severe back pain. I found unacceptable such negligence from the owners, (but after all who cares, we are just the people giving them the money, right? why should we expect some basic comfort). I was too exhausted to ask for refund, but I regret not having done it. Of course I didn't get any apologies either. - The cherry on the cake is that you have to make the bed yourself and in the morning un-make it and bring the sheets at the reception.

The few good things of this hostel are the happy hour with free Capirina that facilitates the socializing, and the location in the old town. Cleanliness is also on point, with the maids taking care of the place several times during the day.

The lady that takes care of the hostel during night is super rude! She even created issues for us to get water from the kitchen at night. There were some issues with the canalization which lead to at least one bathroom being closed.

The owner was super friendly as long as the majority of the staff. The breakfast was diverse, with fruits and products natives from Brazil. There is an happy hour in which everyone get along together to drink for free caipirinha or sangria. The rooms have closets, for which we need a locker. The hostel has a great atmosphere that makes everyone easily get along with each other. The people that I met in this hostel made my Carnival in Salvador, perfect!

The owner was extremely rude. The beds have each one pillow and since in my room several beds where free I took one pillow from the neighbour bed to use while reading. I feel as sleep with it and was woken up by the hostel owner pulling the pillow from under my head and saying only on pillow per person at 5 in the morning! I understand there is certain rules but until now I never experienced any kind of this in a hostel. You can just tell me at breakfast that it was not okay to take the pillow or whatever but waking me up like this is not okay. But anyways he was rude with others as well and he continued being rude to me to an extend that even other hostel guest got shocked. So sad! The place could be so great… but sleeping rooms are horrible with a big vent next to my ear that was suuuper loud and also the pool was dirty. All would have been fine but with a owner that rude it’s really disappointing

The staff exept for the owner was nice! The location is super good and it is a great place to meet people! Especially because of the free caipirinha

Payment on booking says cash only. They wait to the last minute and tell you they want bank transfer, no cash no card. Bearing in mind many of us don't have data or Internet when traveling. ONLY BANK TRANSFER. I do not go on holiday to queue in banks. Without a CPF or Pix its near impossible to transfer money. Had to rely on a Brazilian friend. Single female traveller just didn't need this last minute drama on my trip. Got injured and needed to leave early, no refund or discount. Barely any natural light in the room

It feels very small. I would not choose it for a long stay but it can be good for a couple of days for its good location (if you are looking for a location in Pelourinho) and the opportunity to meet other travelers.

Their idea of offering free caipirinhas for an hour! A great way to get to know other travelers. Breakfast is really good. The swimming Pool
