Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

The rest, NONE, you struggle to communicate with them on simple things like asking for milk on the side of your coffee. This is a bit of a challenge and thinking about the value proposition and the cost (+ the number of stars they have) it’s a problem

From the people at the front desk through every part of the hotel, they were friendly and helpful. The views are incredible and the location was the best we saw on our trip to Buzios. If I want back, I would stay here again.

BelgiumIn the beginning some discussion as the room was not the same as on internet. The staff finally did everything to make us happy and upgraded the room as promised at the moment of reservation. The location, accommodation and the kitchen are very nice.

SpainFerradura is a nice beach to spend the day, but the hotel is quite far from Orla Bardot. Not a deal breaker as the hotel is great, but something to keep in mind (easy to get a taxi, which is no more than 25 reais).
Good location and hotel, with plenty of different spaces to chill and enjoy Ferradura views. Breakfast was excellent, special mention for Diogo who was very helpful during our stay, providing great food recommendations at the restaurant!

Insolito has a richly deserved reputation as one of Buzios's best hotels and doesn't disappoint. Ferradura Beach just below the hotel is known for it's calm and clean water. Service in all departments from reception to the restaurant is impeccable. The a la carte breakfast is sophisticated and tasty. Evening meal in the Galeria restaurant was world class. Overall an excellent hotel in a great tropical setting.

United StatesI wish there was an atm a bit closer to the hotel so that we had more reais to tip the staff. The only other thing was that to get to the beach we had to go through tawa beach, who require you to get a writsband and place your belongings in their area. It seemed like an unnecessary extra step, but was really only a minor inconvenience.
The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I went with my fiancee for her birthday, and while we were out they delivered a birthday cake to our room. She was so happy and thrilled. The whole weekend was a delightful surprise for her. She wasnt sure she wanted to go to buzios before I surprised her, but a day into the stay at the Insolito, she was trying to figure out when we could come back again. We also visited the private beach area and got to hang out with a local turtle, whom we named Barty who spent his time swimming infront of us. My fiancee also loved her massages at the resort. It was a great time. The restaurant was also awesome and the food was delicious. The steak was better than the popular restaurant Misticos.

BrazilSome rooms are located close to the beach club, which plays loud music from 12:00 to 22:00h. Guests should know this before being placed in one of these rooms.
Insolito’s location and overall infrastructure are very nice and can be said to be on the high-end compared to other options on Buzios. Staff is super friendly and helpful, much superior to other hotels/B&Bs in Rio and in Buzios.

United Arab Emiratesthere was no hot water in the morning and housekeeping took forever to fix it . At times there were 3 maintenance people in the room - with their shoes on. The breakfast needs improvement. From a hotel in that category I expect a lot more, but I might be spoiled because I live in Dubai
