This place is an amazing find!!! It was so relaxing and a great place for couples, the rooms are incredible and so big with great facilities and the breakfast was so good! The staff are all some friendly and helpful, and recommended some great places to eat and for stand up paddle boarding! We also saw turtles every morning from the decking next to the pool :)

Location. It’s not possible to make a walking during the morning on the beach and it’s very difficult to take out ours cars due to the very small parking.

Installations, rooms, breakfast, food in general and all staff was amazing.

The noise from the neighborhood parties did seriously compromise the quality and comfort of the stay, impossible to relax with a battle of sound coming from two different beach clubs on each side of the property. Also there was no bar soap to use in the shower ( only a very heavy liquid one for the bathtub ) and the hand soap was mixed with a lot water which seemed innapropriate considering the high price of the stay.

The view is amazing, the breakfast is good and the meals from the restaurant were good.

When we first arrived, check-in was a breeze and the gentlemen confirmed our spa times. Once we arrived in the room, however, it was dirty. We found loose hairs on the bed and toilet, and the floor had not been swept adequately. We did not feel great, but considered it an oversight and did a quick clean ourselves. The staff at this hotel are very nice but the hospitality was lacking a little. Even though it was cloudy/rainy for most of our stay, we still spent some time down at the pool and other areas of the property. None of the staff members came to ask us if we needed anything while lounging or ask us about our stay. Obviously not a mandatory component, but its always a nice touch to feel tended to, which the staff did well if you sat for any of the meals, just the in between times were more difficult to get something. The only other thing that we did not realize was that this property is located between two beach clubs. Nice for having different options close by, but it meant we heard their music and noise until about 2200 each night. Not the properties fault of course, just something we came to find out.

The location and spa at La Relais is really the best part of what they offer. Beautiful views of Marambaia beach and the option to never leave the hotel are the features that set this place apart. The spa is located right above the water and was really a luxury experience compared to other spas we have been to. The food was good for the price and featured international and Brazilian cuisine for any appetite. The main areas were nicely decorated and the there are plenty of areas to sit around the property with great views. The pool area is a little dated, but they were painting the property and keeping up its appearance, which we appreciated. While it was raining and outdoor activities limited, they brought in live music which was a nice touch to appease the guests. Each room has a balcony and overlooks the beach area. It is a great stay for relaxation and getting away from Sao Paolo or RDJ. For the value, this place is what you make of it. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would be back just for the amazing spa experience.

If you book this place, you’ll get a large space to use and a good breakfast but not much else! I do not recommend it at all.

NAO RECOMENDO ESTE HOTEL! Sadly, this 4-star hotel is very disappointing and lacks basic amenities: they charge delivery for room service, which is available only a few hours a day; no water, coffee or tea was included in the room price; the TV in my suite didn’t work; the room, toilet, and especially the floor (oily dirty) was dirty upon arrival; the windows of the room I stayed in was in full view of the lobby area: no privacy; there is an smell of old or damp throughout the hotel; stale murky old water in the pool; poor conduct of staff, service and manager; needs renovations; hugely overpriced.
