How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I was given a family room and requested a change of room. I was told to ask the next day which i did and was told that the person responsible had gone for a coffee and that they would contact me which did not happen. I came back at 1630 and my room was not done yet (I left at 0900). Overall poor service

There is not a preventive maintenance. Bathroom was not working properly and, of course, broke.
The localization is good.

The room was only provided with two coffee pods, no matter how long the stay. In a hotel in this price range, coffee should be restocked automatically for free every day. Also the room did not include free water. This should also be included for free in a hotel of this price range. This is a very small price to pay for a hotel in this price range. The laundry service was good but has a 24 hour return policy. In most hotels, when laundry is sent out before 9am, the laundry is ALWAYS returned the same day. Fortunately my clothes were returned just before I had to leave the hotel (25 hours after I sent them out). This needs to be improved by hotel management.
breakfast was decent. Location excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially the lady working the front desk. the valet parking service was excellent. Room comfort was fine. The hotel restaurants were good.

Front desk staff not being friendly or accomodating
seperate room, food was ok. Milk for ceral had spoiled due to improperly not being kept cold. Staff try to say it was ok when poured from bottle it came out in clumps

The rooms are outdated for the price, and the "side view" of the ocean was barely existing.

Please never go working to any Luzeiros. Police is now working to figure out all the situation.
This is the most terrible hotel I have ever visited. I am digital nomad and I travel very much. I have never been so shocked and disrespected. I reserved working room for one day, they told me it was 150 reais and when I left the hotel they made me pay 3000 reais for the working room. They threatened me with police and said If I called anyone they would make me go with police same second. Now I am scared and crying in my room because I believe they could maybe steal all my bank card information and I cannot believe how this can happen. I hope I make it out alive and I will never come back to Brazil ever again.

Lady at the front desk wouldn’t allow us any guests to visit. She seemed hell-bent on preventing any friends to come in. She said, basically, anyone walks in needs to present ID and register even people. This includes people visiting or eating at the restaurant. She went out of her way to intervene. In a conversation I was having with another employee.
Excellent location for tourist.

Given the wrong level of room as per my reservation with an excuse that was an upgrade, but in fact, it was a downgrade, I just realised this after the 3rd night (out off 5). Additionally, the facilities are completely out date, old and the hotel require major renovations. Lifts out of service, Tv with poor or no connection and. a few other stuff. For sure, it's not a 5 star hotel.

It’s been a problem with people that work in this industry in Brazil. I’ve found just few good people that really give an attention and hear the guest’s request. Even simple requests. At the Luzeiros hotel a guy at the front desk was really straight saying no just for a request . My point is , most of employees don’t care about the guests . Just few , very few employees care about and it’s really nice when you find someone that makes you feel comfortable and happy ou of home.
The ocean view is amazing.

Type of room There are two types of room. Old one and remolded one. Old one is horrible. Mold, clogged drain in the shower box, worn furniture. Didn't like and not recommend!

The facilities are outdated. For a 4* hotel, it seems like a 3*. It needs urgent updates on the rooms. The furniture is too old and needs to be replaced by new ones. Also, there was a leak in the bathroom which shows carelessness in the maintenance of the hotel.
Breakfast was great. A lot of fruits, cakes, and drinks. A true continental breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, the location is very nice, just in front of the beach on Beira Mar's Avenue. The bed is very comfortable.

I paid for a Superior room but I got one in the first floor, the view was blocked with many constructions material. The air conditioner didn't work properly it was very hard to sleep in this room it was very hot. Another point is when you come in the Hotel lobby it smells very bad, they need to clean urgently the air conditioner system.
The breakfast is very good, fresh fruits, very good cakes, and you need to have a good start in the morning.

Comfortable beds, good location, very good breakfast
Made us pay for some milk for a baby's bottle when we missed the shops due to late arrival, thought this was mean , our room was a bit small.
