The staff was not friendly. Early check in was revised although it was clear there were dorm beds available.

The location is amazing but the place is not well managed. No towels, no padlocks and the bathrooms got clogged all the time. The staff can try to smile at least a little bit :)

Fantastic location, right near the beach. You can see from window while eating or chilling on the sofa inside. Lots of delicious street food in front. about 5 minute walk to nearby lighthouse for sunset, not to be missed. Safer location than city center. Had no problems walking around at night. Wifi worked well. Small, but well stocked kitchen. Would definitely come back here next time in Salvador.:D

I thought the attitudes from the volunteers were quite odd. They did not make any effort at all to make you feel welcome or create a nice social atmosphere. It really feels like they are just there for a free accommodation and just do the bare minimum. It happened a few times where I asked them a question or needed something and I felt like an annoyance.

The location is amazing! You can see and hear the ocean from all the spaces. The kitchen is great and I loved the common area downstairs, it feels very lovely. There is a lovely lady who is cleaning the place constantly so it's always super clean and organised! Barra is a great and safe neighbourhood to stay in.

Great location right in front of the beach and by the lighthouse. The promenade is brightly lit at night so very safe, and it's a great people watching spot! The hostel is clean with a cute social area. There are a number of bars and restaurants and supermarkets super close.

The showers are not comfortable. There is nowhere to put clothes, and it's time to renovate them. The owner says the issue is being addressed.

This is the perfect location you could ask for. Also a minute's walk from the lighthouse. And also the first house on the seaside promenade. From the windows you can see, hear and feel the sea, which is simply perfect. The staff is kind and friendly, there is no breakfast, but there is a time when coffee is served.

Wonderful hostel. Best I have stayed at in Brazil. Honestly, I wish I wasn't leaving. It is right next to the beach, restaurants and a lighthouse with a wonderful view of the sunset. You can see the water from the dormitory and lounge area. Wifi is fast, people are super nice, rooms are comfortable, food amazing (moqueca, acaraje, etc). Will definitely come back on my visit to Salvador :D :D

Mattresses were little thin and the kitchen could be better equipped. Are kettles not a thing? Or toasters? Haven't seen one anywhere I've visited yet.

Great location sitting on the beach near tons of places to eat/drink and a great language school (Brazil Link).
