How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Not much to complain about

The loud noise while in the restaurant, there's often a party in a nearby room that is extremely loud and makes dinner a bit crazy.
We stayed 2 weeks because we had people to contact. The hotel is close to the center and has excellent facilities, especially the gym on the rooftop. Highly recommend.

The room is very good, but it is very outdated. The lack of USB outlets nowadays is almost a no-no. Also there was a mixup with the payment at the property, and it took a lot of insisting to have them fix the situation. If I had not been careful, I would have been charged twice for my stay.
The room is very spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable and overall very clean.

The bathroom look like little older, but the shower was very good.

The swimming pool could be warm, considering the temperature of the city
The bed and the bedsheets were SO pleasant that I didn't want to leave the room. The hotel is spacious and people speak good English.

The elevators are not working properly. I could reach my floor 15. I had to move to one upper and then go down the stairs. The pool should be warm, but it was not. The said it was 29º but, not enought for our climate. It was the same like no heat. I do believe that 5º degrees more would be nice and be acoording by all the gests.
All the staff, the rooms are old, but great and very confortable. Breakfast were very goog. they took all cares about COVID19. I felt safe.

I stayed in the executive room. The extra bed and spring box was filthy, beyond acceptance. It had chunks of mice bites all around the edges. I was so disgusted! I immediately asked the front desk to change the entire bed. How despicable! How dare them place something so filthy and rat- bitten mattresses in a room, regardless of whether it is a standard or executive room? They should be ashamed of themselves. I did not ask for a discount because a few bucks back in my pocket won't be enough to make me forget this horrible, discussing experience. I hope other guests consider staying at another hotel, or that they check the mattresses before they decided to sleep on them. Ugh! (BTW, My sister's have it all on video; the rotten mattress and spring box.) Even management was discussed when they saw it. This is unacceptable. The hotel is decadent in all aspects. There are no trash lids in the bathroom, and the bath tub was old, rusty, and yellowish. The furniture is outdated and the air smells like mildew. So much that they have an automatic Bon-air like thing that pumps a nauseating scent every so often.
Poor. Limited choices on healthy foods at breakfast and a limited menu at the outsourced hotel restaurant. The mattress was rotten.

The swimming pool wasn't available, the staff didn't offer any compensation for it nor appologised. The hotel in general, especially the bathroom need a good remodelling. It's definetly better to stay in a chain hotel at the same price range.
The breakfast wasn't that great, many options but all a little dry, stale and the fruits weren't ripe. The room was spacious and the restaurant area was nice. The check in and check out were a smooth experience.
