Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I had to ask the staff to replace all the towels, and was better after - but in general still smelled like mold

RomaniaTHERE IS NO POOL. THE HOTEL SAYS THERE IS ONE, BUT IT IS NOT FUNCTIONAL/ OPEN. Rooms have just the very basic amenities. Very poor Wifi.
The location great. 2 minutes to Copacabana, and 10 minute to Ipanema. Plenty of restaurants in the vicinity (24 hour pub, across the street), 1 block away from a lot of good restaurants (not expensive), 2 blocks from churrasco buffet. The breakfast is great. Fruit was good and fresh. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

United StatesThe location was perfect. It's a block away from the Copacabana beach and a few blocks from Ipanema beach. Everything to do is in walking distance. We had a water issue with our room and the staff immediately can to check it and moved us to another room (let us choose between 4 different ones) for the rest of the visit. They were amazing and helpful.

Could you imagine we got in someone’s place with their personal staff… so easy because of the stuff’s mistake. Also they gave the keys for the room with only one bed when we booked three! After only an hour we were able to resolve the issue…

SpainThe location is very unsafe for tourists. Keep this in mind when booking this hotel. We got robbed right in front of the hotel as the intersection its located at is a favourite hangout spot, around 5pm/6pm coming from the beach shirtless or in bathing suits - groups of young teenagers (maybe 30 total?) would run on the streets causing chaos, we didn't know the first day what was happening, one stole my brothers necklace from the back. The next day around the same time, they spotted us right away and started to run towards us - we asked a local to walk us to the door of the hotel. DONT WEAR ANY JEWELRY / WATCHES / BRAND NAMES. We were told to not go out at night, so we didnt, but this was happening in later afternoon when the sun was still out. Be extra cautious.
The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was very good every morning. Very close to Copacabana beach and Ipanema.
