Strange windows - no netting and no glass, so during the day the shutters had to stay closed (and therefore the room dark) to avoid mosquitoes (lots of them!). Decor of the room (111) could be improved.

A lot of mosquitoes in the room (not a Hotel fault but just to be aware). No entretainment during the day for guests. The local travel agency is more expensive than most of all the other options. Drinkable water should be included in the price.

Amazing resort. The pools are fantastic. Breakfast very good. The restaurant could explore more local fruits but the food was more than good. Great location with the river as a private beach. The "Olaria" is a very nice experience!

If we could give 20/10, we would. It was perfect, pools were very nice and not cold at all, food was delicious, the house was excellent, everything was working perfectly (AC, …). Nice and helpful staff, great activities - kayak for free, ping pong, …

There was no complementary water or coffee maker in our room. This would have been appreciated and is standard in most 4 star hotels worldwide, and for this omission I scored the resort a 9 rather than a 10 for facilities.

Fantastic place to stay in Barreirinhas. Really top class service, food, accommodation, facilities and more. It’s a large complex, very well designed, with so much to do. We only left the premises once to go for dinner in the town, otherwise everything was readily available. Beautiful wide-ranging breakfast, great food overall, 3 swimming pools, a kids play area, sauna, massage, kayaking, easy access to excellent tours, friendly staff and a lovely clientele. A hammock outside each room was a very nice touch. Highly, highly recommended.

Really very little. If I’m being very picky, I’d say that the pool towels were a bit small!

We stayed here with our teenage boys and loved it, a real oasis in the sand dunes -Beautiful pools and gardens -Table tennis, pool etc. -Great service for drinks/food -Excellent accommodation for families in 2-bedroom apartment

In the first day we arrived, the water heating was not working, but staff solved the problem very fast.

The staff of the resort was very kind and helpful, the room was great, with good size and excellent bathrooms. Breakfast, continental style, was nice (it's possible to order tapioca or omelet and they bring it to your table) and other meals in the restaurant were of great flavour for a fir price. The lobster moqueca is fabulous and served 2 adults and a six-year-old child for a very convenient price (R$ 170,00). Location is excellent for most tours, because it's very close to the beginning of most of them, but the resort is a little bit far from the Beira Mar Street, what can be downside for who wants to have lunch or dinner in town, since most restaurants are in the nearby of this street. Kids playing area is excellent, pretty new and well maintained. There're three pools, one of them with river water and waterfalls, which was a delight after the tours and all the heat of the day. Within the property there's a pottery, where you can buy pieces from local artisans that work there or you can make your own vase and take it with you! Our son and us enjoyed a lot the moment and the local artisan helped us to make a very beautiful piece of our own.

The aircon kept leaking into the wall i.e. mold alert. The food is ok, but not more than that. It's quite far from the city center!

No WiFi in rooms. The food is disappointingly mediocre and, as such, not good value for money. You pay separately for all your meals, as there is no full or half-board option. Two examples. In an area famous for its seafood, crab legs were completely tasteless - over-cooked from frozen. "Picanha" a special Brazilian cut of beef, which should be succulent, tasty and super tender, was as tough as Charlie Chaplin's boot. If it really was a genuine picanha cut, which I doubt, then the poor animal must have been a very old, overworked ox. It was a rare occasion on which I have sent food back to the kitchen. Overall, service is friendly but inexperienced and a bit haphazard. Again, two examples. It was only on the 3rd day, after much insistence, that they fixed our room safe. We needed a doctor during our stay and they said they didn't know any or have any contracts and told us to go the local hospital, which was an interesting experience. The rooms don't have (glass) windows, only shutters with no netting in the main room, so are very dark, unless you want to share your space with insects.

The location is excellent. The pretty resort sits on the lovely Preguiças river and is very near the Lençois Maranhenses park. Go out on the river on a kayak for a very tranquil experience. The river is wide and very slow moving, hence its name, referring to the ones plentiful sloths. Rooms are big. The facilities - swimming pools etc are decent. Good breakfasts. Excellent Caipirinhas! Very good excursion organizers on site. Rooms are a good size, with a hammock supplied outside for a pleasant siesta. WiFi in the public areas is OK.

There was a small confusion by the reception who wanted to charge us (again) upon arrival. Also, we found the room rather small. It could use more space for hanging clothes and bathing suits.

Beautifully designed, the resort has ample, ventilated spaces for dining, socialising and sun bathing, not to mention a beautiful garden with a lovely pond. The restaurant staff was very friendly, always making sure we were well served.

Big rooms. Very complete resort, very nice and cozy restaurant, nice swimming pool and lots of games available like airhockey and pool. They have a special desk where you can book all kind of tours.
