Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaMy AC did not work. Would have been good to have a mid-morning snack.
Food was good but we did not know that drinks other than tea and coffee are extra. Loved the lodge - the decor, setting. Enjoyed the tours. Staff were kind and friendly.

United KingdomAn exceptional stay at Pousada Rio das Águas in Foz do Iguaçu! Adriana and Brian’s hospitality was outstanding, making us feel like family from the moment we arrived. The spacious rooms with comfortable beds ensured a restful night’s sleep, and the surprise cake and flowers for my mom’s birthday added an extra special touch. Located in an excellent, quiet neighborhood, yet just a stone’s throw away from restaurants and attractions, this pousada offers the perfect blend of tranquility and convenience. Highly recommended for an unforgettable experience in Foz do Iguaçu. 5 stars all the way!

GermanyWe liked everything. But it is good to be aware that the pousada offers options of tour with a private taxi, but as being a pousada and not a hotel, they do not arrange group tours to the Cataratas. If you want to combine your tour with other guests to make it less expensive, you will have to do it by yourself or directly with the driver.
The facilities, the swimming pool, amazing bed, delicious breakfast, and the kindness of the host.

United StatesThe family that runs the pousada are so amazing and hospitable. The room I stayed in was incredibly spacious and had one of the softest beds I’ve ever stayed in. There’s lots of good restaurants walking distance and foz de iguaçu is very safe so I didn’t feel like anything would happen to me as a solo female traveler. I couldn’t recommend this place more and for any future travels back to Foz I will definitely be staying here.

GermanyBest Pousada to go to the Falls and for the evening with restaurants around. The owner can recommend a nice driver/guide to reach the falls very easy on Brazilian and Argentina side. Also transport to and from airport can be arranged.

BrazilLocation was a little out of the centre which meant using an Uber to go back and forth - no big problem. Staff helped with taxis for trips to the falls, Argentinian side. The room and balcony were a little smaller than we'd hoped but quite adequate foe a short stay.
Very comfortable kingsize bed. Good breakfast. Wonderful bathroom with full-size mirror and good shower. Excellent hosts. Good sized pool and pool area for a small pousada.

United StatesThe place was a bit out of the way but we were okay with Uber that we took to restaurant and Iguazú Falls. The shower didn’t work in our room.
The setting was great. It was spacious and comfortable. We liked the family pets ie the dogs and birds. Wonderful pool. Comfy beds and most of all the hosts who were friendly. Brian assisted us with recommendations. He made wonderful drinks and popcorn when we were watching a movie.

SingaporeWhen I checked in, my shower wasn’t working but the pousado changed rooms for me promptly so it was alright.
Hosts were wonderfully friendly and helpful, and rooms were comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was a huge spread. The pousado also introduces a driver/guide to you so you can get tips and arrange transport for your sightseeing.

Netherlandsparrot was free in the kitchen, not most hygienic situation, but ok for me.
good location, especially if you want to visit the waterfalls, as it is close to the argentina border and close to brazilian side falls. Centre of town is anyway boring, so this location is best, townwize beter visit the town just accross the border. Watch out if using rental car, normally not allowed, ask the owner she knows 1 rental company which has cars who can cross the border.

Adriana, the owner of this beautiful Pousada (guest house) recommended us Giovanni our local guide/driver for Iguacu Falls and which was transporting us both to the Argentinian and Brazilian sides in the two full days we have decided to spent here. Many thanks! Our room was clean and very spacious and the bathroom had all we need. Wifi worked perfect (60-90 mbs) and we could follow our favourite online tv series. Continental breakfast includng house made sweets; a honesty bar with alcoholic and non-lacoholic drinks (incl. a good selection of you Malbec red wines at reasonable price) were helpful especially when we have arroved late from our endeavours :-)
