Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWe got charged R$12 for a bottle of water( R$10 for a beer ) when asked why the price, the staff said that it’s a contractor company that runs the bar and they charge whatever they want, also receptionist had more people complaining about it before, so management is aware of the high prices, and obviously hasn’t done anything about it

United Kingdomthe “ kitchen “ area was completely barren( no cutlery, crockery etc) or even a microwave ( something I was expecting for a flat style accommodation although I didn’t cook I have small children so they constantly want to snack,also didn’t have common sense things any hotel room should have ( kettle, tissue box, iron) but looks like not having these items in the rooms is normal in Brazilian hotels . The air conditioning only blows cold air so if you happen to be there in winter during a cold spell you might feel cold.

AustraliaIt’s about a 15 minute walk to the centre, which wasn’t a problem for us. For those who don’t like walking you might need to take a taxi to go to restaurants and bars. Also, no laundry service available at the hotel.
Hotel was very clean with an extremely helpful and friendly staff. The hotel sets itself apart with the high level standard of rooms and service. Clean and modern rooms, great shower and amazing breakfast.

It was really nice place to take a rest. Every parts of hotel looks new, all employees are very kind to customers. When I asked to the manager about their opening date, he told me that it took only 3 months. Beds were also clean and cozy.

IsraelA few things that you might want to consider before staying there: 1. It’s pretty far from city center. With car it’s probably ok but without one it requires 10 mins each direction. 2. The sofa can not open into a double bed, but only 2 single beds. 3. We stayed there for 5 nights. On the first night, at 4 am a rooster started to call so loudly we woke up and were not able to sleep again due to the noise. It turned to be that someone grows roosters on the outer part of their wall. We asked to move to the furthest room from the roosters and they happily let us move. The new room was stinky from detergents, and had no plugs near the bed. At night when we went to sleep we discovered that also the blanket smells like bleach so it was impossible to use. The next day we asked for a new blanket and then it was fine, still with light smell of detergents.
Even though no one in the reception spoke English, they were really nice and tried to help us as much as they managed to. Breakfast was also nice.

BrazilPoor location, made worse by expensive taxi service even to downtown. Renato (front desk) did not seem interested in helping to find taxi drivers (telling me that I should have booked rides through an agency), even though the hotel had told me that they would arrange drivers before I got there. Renato refused to give me 2 room keys even though I was there with my wife. Very hard to get hot water in shower or to control its temperature. Badly placed electrical sockets. Had to ASK for maid service every day. TV had no free channels, only streaming and the staff did not know how to make this work. Overpriced in-house convenience store. Staff seemed poorly trained and sometimes slow to attend to requests. Surprising lack of knowledge about tours or even about their own town. Small pool, not heated.
Good room size. The breakfast was varied and good quality. The staff were friendly and generally cooperative. The facilities were modern and clean. The location was quiet and peaceful. General manager Diogo was efficient and respectful.
