I stayed only one night but I like everything. The staff was helpful. My bed was comfortable and clean. The location is perfect, it's close to everything.

Just an amazing meeting place. If you're traveling alone, this is the perfect spot.

What really made a difference is the social environment here. It is the perfect place to meet locals and travellers and to discover Rio together. You have the feeling of being suddenly among friends. It is an open minded setting, a good reflexion of the general atmosphere you breath in Rio.

The bathrooms are on another level as the sleeping quarters which is a bit annoying.

The personnel was just great. The owner and especially Roberto and Estevan did a splendid job in attending to my and the other guests' every need. Also, since the hostel is quite small and because there is a common room for socializing, you get very familiar with the other guests rather quick. Also, the rooms come with air conditioning which makes for a really comfortable stay.

It was pleasant stay.. location is great! wonderful neighborhood close to everything from markets and restaurants to metro to beach and parks. Efraim the manager is such a positive person with good vibe always making sure everything is fine. That’s something very important where attracts similar vibe guests.. I met some amazing people there.. The place is super clean, organized. comfortable beds, air conditioned room. Well equipped kitchen. Definitely will return and recommend!

Unfortunately, there other hostels in the neighborhood with a lot of loud and fussy guests. It occurred to me they're mostly young foreigners who enjoy partying hard and come back home screaming and monkeying around past midnight/early in the morning .

The staff is quite friendly and ready to help the guests as soon as possible. The hostel is in pristine conditions with clean and tidy rooms.

there were some things that the kitchen lacked: like cut boards, big frying pans. as for the rooms, the beds are ok, but the low level is too low. there were no sockets for upper-beds. also usually hostels make personal lights for each bed, it's convenient in the evening not to disturb other guests. the main problem, I think, is the common sitting/dining room. It's far too small and there not enough seats/chairs/sofas. during our stay there were not many people, but there might be much more (considering the number of rooms and beds), so I can't imagine how they all will eat and relax there.

the manager/owner is a great guy. It's a new hostel, so there are many things to do there, but he is very helpful and trying hard to compensate some problematic moments. He is always available online. In general we had all we needed: a kettle, pans, a cooker, multi-cooker, a fridge. The location is fantastic, we really enjoyed the neighbourhood, I'd highly recommend it, much better than Copacabana, good shops nearby, quite safe and very close to the metro station.

I felt like I am in a home with good and kind hosts, they really care about the people and try to manage everything in a good and comfort way. Albeit the hostel is very new but I could see their everyday effort for making it better. I had good time there. And the location is good near to the metro station and bus stop.

The hostel is not "beachfront," but located on a street near downtown called Catete. Air conditioning only at night. No lights nor curtains at the beds.

Very kind and helpful and accommodating staff always willing to be of assistance. The hostel is located on a commercial street for shopping and dining and near a metro station.

Pillows are a little firm and there’s no glass in the window. Just a wooden shutter so you can hear what’s going on outside

Estevao, Thiago and Johnny are great volunteers and work hard to keep the hostel clean. They are really friendly and made the stay great

They wouldn't let me leave my luggage for a few hours. They were charging for guests leaving baggage after checkout which is not a common thing and is very inconvenient. The hostel was difficult to find because there is no name outside the door. Would be helpful to put up something by the entrance for guests to see. The lower bunk bed doesn't have a lot of space between that and the top bunk.

They had filtered water and a kitchen for cooking and many different staff there to help.

Please be aware they charge RS 20 for early check in before 2pm or leaving luggage after check out while majority hostels offer storage for free. They also charge 4% for card payment. The shower needs improvement, maybe a new electric shower head as the temperature is not warm enough for winter months. All volunteers were nice except the night shifts person who was a bit rude and inconsiderate.

The hostel location has good transport links and it is easy to get around Rio while the house is reasonably quiet at night. The whole place including kitchen and bathroom is very clean. There is a female only bathroom. There are plenty restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The manager is friendly and helpful.
