Very comfortable and spacious room with AC. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We arrived at 9am and they stored our bags and let us use the pool. Good location close to the bus terminal and only a 5/10 minute walk to the historical centre. Good value for money and plenty of options for breakfast

My only disappointments were minor: the room, the wifi and the breakfast. The room was very small - just enough room for the beds and the side tables, and the bathroom was tiny. Worse than that, the shower was some sort of electric device that had no pressure and didn't produce any warm water either. There was a small cabinet for extra blankets but no place where to put the luggage. The room had a small balcony with a chair, but there was not even a small table. The wifi signal was very weak and, more importantly, broke down every time. I was travelling alone and whenever I wanted to contact my family, I had to do it through text, as the wifi could not support a conversation for more than a minute without disconnecting. I was not expecting that, and my intention was to work a bit on the evenings, but this was impossible. Breakfast is included and the coffee is as you can expect, so is the fruit, but the juices were quite sub-standard for what you usually find in other places in Brazil, and they tasted as if watered down. The cakes/pies were also below average (not that I know Brazil very well, but in two weeks I was in a dozen different places and they were all considerably better). Paraty is very touristic and this type of accommodation is normal in these places, but I was a bit disappointed, considering that I was paying almost the same as I would in Europe for a reasonably good hotel, and I am sure many of the costs to the owner (e.g. labour, fresh produce, etc) were local.

The location is excellent - two blocks away from the bus station (with direct connection with São Paulo), close to convenience stores, banks, pharmacy, and restaurants. This is just a 5-min walk away from the Paraty historical area and its shops and restaurants, and 10-15 minutes from the pier where you can take a boat to the islands/beaches. If you walk in the opposite direction, in 5-10 minutes you have large supermarkets, gyms, etc. The hotel itself is beautiful. It has a very nice patio, with a small swimming pool next to it. There are some common areas where one can sit and enjoy some time down. The garden plants are also very nice. The staff is very friendly and polite, they always try to help, and do not give up even if one needs to communicate in broken Spanish/English/Portugese. The cleaners keep everything spotless, you can always see them busying around with a broom or a cloth.

When we arrived (at around 7pm), we found the reception empty and had to search for someone to check us in. We were given room #1, which turned out to be a disaster. Only one window on the corridor/lobby side, meaning we had to keep the window closed. The room was swarming with mosquitoes, and the hotel didn't have sprays. Wifi didn't work. One of the sockets was unusable and there was only one other socket. No other room available, according to reception. There is a sign saying that after 22:00, there should be no noise. At 23:00, our neighbour had his TV on at high volume. We banged the wall, but nothing changed. We asked the receptionist, who shrugged his shoulders. After another half hour, we went to the receptionist again, who again didn't take any action. Only when I knocked on the door myself, and started calling the police, he reluctantly spoke to the neighbour. It was obvious that he didn't care less. Highly overpriced room for very poor value.

The pictures presentend on booking.com are old, and different when we see in person, it needs a renovation. In our bathroom had a little leak, that was stopped on second day, but we can see that sink faucet had some tapes. Breakfest was good, but not too much option of fruits. Have some cakes options, breads, ram and cheese. Unfortunately for who that have glutem or lactose intolerance they have few options.

The hotel is close to the historic center around 500mts, the size of the bedroom is good and the bed was good to sleep. They have breakfest included in the price which is good. Have a big screen TV on bedroom.

There was no wifi. The breakfast wasn’t anything special. The room was dull and the mattress and sheets were old.

Nicely located near the historical centre with parking on site that’s gated after hours.
