Air con was noisy. Maybe a refurb needed on the room. No netflix on the telly.

Location was great. We got early check-in for 60 euro which includes breakfast so well worth it as we arrived at 08.00. Breakfast was good with hot and cold food. And the staff were very friendly and helpful. We organised a full day tour through the reception and it was very good. Close to shops and bars and restaurants and the beach, we enjoyed our stay here and felt the hotel and area was safe for tourists.

Pool was very small. The water was warmer than the air (so very very hot!). only one escalator worked when we were there so we had to wait a lot for our floor (14th).

Breakfast was really good. Many options. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Quiet hotel.

Noisy air conditioning unit! Windows need locks on, you could open them and we were on the 11th floor!

Perfect location - at Copacabana beach.

Good location in the most lively part of Copacabana, about 3 blocks from the beach. Old but well kept rooms, little rooftop pool, friendly staff. Definitely a good option

Laundry and minibar service although convenient rather expensive as both supermarket and laundry service with 2 minutes of hotel.

Set two blocks back from Copacabana beach one way and two blocks from Metro station in the other direction. Ipanema beach within walking distance too. Room and bathroom a good size. Reasonable choice of breakfast options. Rooftop pool a bonus. Easily booked city tour.

We arrived at 08.00 am and were unable to check in until 14.00. We knew this at the time of booking but there was no courtesy room or offer of any refreshments.

I asked for the broken hairdryer to be switched right after arrival. it wasn't switched until I left. but that's minor. I had my own with me.

Facilities are a little bit old but everything worked well and felt clean.

Location is super good, the staff is super helpful and nice, you get a free pass for a gym nearby, breakfast is super rich and with great fruits and pão de queijo.

The breakfast doesn't have many options, however, the ones they have are tasty

The location is amazing. The staff is very professional and helpful. They lend you Chairs, umbrellas and towels for free to go to beach, that was amazing. The sauna is very clean.

breakfast was fine but nothing special (I am picky though and wanted fresh fruit juice), I was surprised it was listed as fabulous on booking. it was actually exactly the same choices of food and drinks as Hotel Mar Palace, but their breakfast was listed as good? AC is really loud, but in winter the temperature is dreamy in Rio and I didn't need to use it.

the cleaning was great, the cleaners even picked up the dirty clothes from the floor and put them in a plastic bag for me. front staff friendly. they gave a delicious chocolate when you leave. overall thought it was a pleasant stay.

Most people probably won't think of this as a problem, but on shorter stays of a few days, I don't like to have housekeeping come in at all, and in this hotel, there is no way to let housekeeping know not to come into your room when you're away (there's no "Please, do not disturb" sign you can put outside). So I notified the staff at the reception that I do not wish to have housekeeping come in during my stay, and I heard them make the call to their housekeeping colleagues and tell them not to clean my room, but one day, it was cleaned nevertheless when I got back home. To do this, the housekeeping staff had to move my work laptop (which was on the floor by my bed only in sleep mode and thus technically accessible), get some of my clothes that were on the bed out of their way, and so on. I get that it was an accident, and for most people it is probably not an issue at all, but I didn't appreciate this breach of privacy, and the situation could have been avoided much more easily if the hotel just provided the "Do not disturb" signs like every other hotel does.

Very nice and helpful staff, excellent location, availability of a proper gym, and a nice breakfast make this hotel a very good choice.

The breakfast area was very crowded each day, some people really went to town on the amount of food on their plate!

Room was spacious, showers had good pressure and warm water. Location is good, close to the beach and also close to the subway.

Cleanliness could be better as well as the breakfast. They don't have a menu for lunch nor dinner. The bathtube had a leake, so everytime I had a shower the bath floor would be quite wet.
