Wonderful location. We stayed at another property in Ouro Preto with amazing view. We were worried at first as we had high expectations from previous hostel, but ....this hostel went beyond our expectations. Definitely recommend for couples. Cute rooms with view of town. Nice throughout the day, quiet property. A nice selection for breakfast. The wifi worked perfect entire stay. Lots of room to do work or hangout to relax. The staff were really nice and accommodating. We look forward to returning in the near future :D

it's one of those places you don't even want to mention what you didn't like, because you liked it so much. But for the sake of honesty: definitely wish there was more than one shower for the shared rooms.

Everything. Best breakfast i've ever had at a hostel, and almost the best I've ever had in any hotel. Clei and Fernando are the owners and they're absolutely delightful people that make everything extremely clear to you upon check-in. They live two doors down and are always available when needed. By the time I left, I felt like family. The beds have coverings and outlets and even little lights. So far beyond any hostel I've seen in Brazil. There are lockers in the dorm rooms.

The view is amazing! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful (suggested sites to visit). The room is kept clean and the breakfast is yummy. I felt like home away from home and that's exactly the feeling I wished for Ouro Preto!

I liked it all.

The healthful and tasty breakfast was served on a covered patio overlooking the beautiful colonial town and the mountains beyond. The staff was friendly and helpful. The place was always clean, and it was quiet at night.

Some guests abuses the owner generosity to allow them staying after their check-out make the newcomers uncomfortable.

Colonial house adapted to be a hostel, a few minute walk to the downtown. The steep slope location make it hard to reach but at the same time charming.

It says online that they speak English but they don't. I have hardly any Portuguese so it was a hassle to communicate but they were very nice about it.

Really clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, very fast WiFi for Brazil hotel standards, good location and nice room with a great view. Can't fault the place.

Not comfortable being on the top bunk of a triple but they moved me as soon as another became available.

Really good location for the centre, local buses and restaurants. Excellent kitchen facilities and a great breakfast (including freshly made cake!). The staff were very helpful and friendly, even with my very late check in (much delayed bus).

Sometimes the staff left the hostel, luckily I didn't have to ask for anything during those times.

Very good value for money, breakfast (even for a vegan) was nice with some fresh fruits and location was also great.

Maybe a curfew in the shared dorms? I was in 6-person dorm, and they were banging lockers, coming to bed 1am. Just awareness to be quiet?! Dorm etiquette.

Karen was awesome and super helpful. She made fresh cakes for breakfast every morning. Location is exceptional; easy 10min walk from bus station. Right near main plaza. Good food options close by.

A lovely place in the heart of Ouro Preto! This is a hostel with a number of private rooms. Very well managed and a great place to meet like-minded travelers. My room was very comfortable with a spectacular view outside my window. Breakfast was excellent! Hosts were very kind! Wifi was very good. And in hilly, spread-out Ouro Preto, the location is as good as it gets, just a 5-minute walk to Tiradentes Plaza! I highly recommend this place!

The wifi is horrible for calling unless you are in the reception area. There was no hand soap in any of the three bathrooms when I arrived. When I left, only one bathroom had soap. This is a bit concerning for communal living situations. It is a very airy, open property which made it a little uncomfortable when it got cold at night

The breakfast was AMAZING! Each day their was a different cake and they always made sure to have Miniero cheese and goiaba. There is a lot of outdoor spaces and the kitchen is well-stocked. The owner is very kind and accommodating. She also gave great recommendations. The location is also great! Very close to buses, historic center, and restaurants.
