Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt sadly falls a little short of being ‘luxury’ due to the general lack of amenities on offer. -The room does not have the added extras you would expect : free water, no hotel safe, robes, slippers, and the bathroom needs updating. - The hotel is lacking in facilities (no food available past breakfast, laundry etc) there is a ‘bar’ located on the ground floor but it’s an awkward set up that requires you to call reception upstairs to serve you. So if no one’s at reception you just have to wait and keep calling the phone until someone answers - There’s a price list of competitive hotel taxi prices stated at reception, however we were never able to use this service other than airport pickup and drop off. Despite several requests, one being made 24 hours in advance- They only ever offered to call us an external taxi so we had no up front knowledge of the cost. Seems odd to display this at reception when we were not able to utilise it across the 7 days ( the hotel was not full). - -thankfully this only occurred on the last night but sound is an issue- next doors bathroom was next to our bedroom and we could hear the fan and every toilet flush. - This last experience unfortunately tainted what were otherwise lovely staff interactions. We came back to the room one evening to find a large cockroach on our bed ( appreciate this isn’t the fault of the hotel!) my partner managed to trap it under a box, & I went out to reception to ask for paper to slide under the box to be able to remove it. As a guest in a ‘luxury’ hotel, I was expecting the gentleman at reception to offer to help but no. He found me some paper towels which didn’t help and I went to the foyer again to look for leaflets to use and he just sat and watched. My partner then managed to kill it and I went back to the reception and asked directly for his help to dispose of it and the plastic box that belonged to the hotel, he just seemed annoyed by the request.
Beautiful views on the sea, especially from our room and the pool. Hotel, rooms and pool area are kept clean and good working order. Our room was a good size and comfortable. Although it’s not the most convenient location wise (this is clear if you research before booking) we very much enjoyed the peace and quiet, as well as the view. The walk to the cave where there’s liquor store to buy a few bits in perfectly manageable and ‘Da Planation bar and Grill’ located next door actually turned out to be one of the best finds for local food during our stay.

FranceQuite pricy (but it’s the Bahamas) and feels a bit empty in the corridors. The breakfast was minimal and no restaurant service otherwise. Check-out time was on the dot, which always makes one feel like they’re about to be kicked out. Also, impossible to turn off the TV without unplugging it (otherwise the screen remains somewhat lit).
Noce view of the sea from the balcony and the pool. very comfortable bed. Airport pick-up was convenient. Staff was very helpful. Proximity of the Sapodilla restaurant very much appreciated.

United KingdomNothing to dislike.
Superb location. Great views. On a hill; rarity in Nassau. So always a bit of a breeze. Beautiful building. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms nicely furnished. Tanzanite is a large room although could have had some extra furniture. And a full length mirror. Fridge for cold water. Microwave. Bathroom ok. Nice pool, nice terrace. Tranquility.

NetherlandsThe location to downtown is quite far off hence a taxi is 30-40$ to nassau. But there are also public buses which take you there for 1,50$.
Very friendly staff. The swimming pool was nice and there is a small bar with some (pricey) drinks. The a la carte breakfast was also very good but also slightly pricey. But then again, New Providence is crazy expensive anyways because of all the cruiseships and resorts with many tourists. There are very nice bars/grills nearby called Da Plantation & Sunset Beach Club.

BahamasI wish that they had an on-site restaurant or somewhere I could get something to eat in the eveniing, like bar food rather than going off-site.
The staff were superb, nothing was too much trouble. I have trouble walking and they shave me a ground floor room and brought everything to my room for me to check in. They also brought my breakfast to my room to save me climbing stairs.

United StatesOne thing I didn’t like was there was a light on all night right outside our window and the curtains didn’t make it dark enough. I woke up in the middle of the night a few times and thought the sun was rising. That was irritating. Also the check out process was a little confusing and the staff wasn’t as helpful at check out as they were at check in.
Comfortable hotel and beautiful views. Very peaceful and quiet. Very clean! Not close to the main attractions but if you rent a car, you’ll be good to go. The pool was really nice and I like they provided towels to take as needed.

PhilippinesThe fact that there is no restaurant within the hotel. The steep uphill climb going back to the hotel after after needing to go outside the compound to eat at a nearby restaurant is not something you would like to do regularly. Also, why is there no complimentary bottle of water? which is standard for most hotel if not all.
Quiet and clean. The room we got is spacious. Complimentary coffee tray.
