Look into renting a golf cart if you are not renting a car. Depending on what accommodation you have booked, there can be quite a walk to the beach and grocery store. There’s not a lot of transparency about this online. The front desk gave us a number to call of a golf local cart rental business (W vacation rentals) and we got lucky they had a cancellation. Had we not been able to secure this, we would have spent a lot of money on eating out or taxing to and from the grocery store. There is a lot of construction, but after looking at their Facebook, I was aware of this before we booked. Not a problem for us but I know some may underestimate the noise and how this could bother them. Palm cays excursions are overpriced, but other boat charter companies pick up/drop off at the marina. We ended up meeting an employee of another charter company at the bar and secured an awesome private group excursion for half the price!

Everything was clean and the food/drinks were great. The beach was wonderful and although there are many properties at palm cay, it was not crowded at all. I hope that with all the new facilities and homes they are building, it remains a less crowded environment. There are many comments about the welcome center staff, but we did not have a bad experience at all. In addition, the other staff members (servers, housekeeping, bartenders, taxi drivers) at palm cay were amazing!

The customer service at the welcome center is bad! The staff seems to be lost and unknowledgeable when asking them for assistance, very aggressive and not very helpful!

The staff was extremely unprofessional upon leaving. We were there to scope out the property to potentially buy a villa and were planning on hopping into the sales office on our last day. We requested and were given a late check out of 130. Someone made a mistake and the cleaners showed up at 1040 and were extremely rude. I talked to the office who were also very rude and who said they didn’t know who gave me the late check out but we couldn’t have it any longer. We did not get to eat our breakfast or relax before our flight. They eventually gave us 20 minutes to pack our things but within 10 minutes the cleaners came back and barged past me into our place. They took our suitcases to the office and had us walk in the pouring rain down to get them. I was raving about the place all week and 3 of us were very interested in purchasing villas and discussing the options of Palm cay managing between visits but I would never trust them with my guests after this experience. They made a mistake and no longer cared about our comfort as they were more worried about those arriving as they were coming to spend money and they already took ours.

The property was nice, great beach access and lots of pools. Absolutely loved our stay until the end. Mario the bartender was truly phenomenal!!

There was no blind at the sliding door in the living area so I had no privacy in Unit 9. The sliding door was bare.

Besides the fact, I could not use one of the two bathrooms because of a water leak. Poor communication with the staff. I was told someone would be out the following morning to fix the leak. No one ever came out and, when I called there was nothing they could do until I left! Go figure that.

I got bed bug bites. thankfully my kids didn’t. I’m the only one who slept in that room . the place was really clean and beautiful. I just think the headboard or bed has the bugs. also the microwave stopped working . outside of this the stay was really nice

Palm Cay is under construction. So there was a lot of noise, and the apartment we first got did not have internet connection and the AC didn't work either. They managed to fix the AC after a couple of hours, but they did not succeed with the internet. Day 2 they moved us to another apartment where the wifi was working.

The room which was quoted as a junior suite with ocean view was not good. Terrible bed, so uncomfortable. No proper bedding, just a sheet supplied. No bedside lights so you couldn't read at night. Tiny bathroom. No maid service. TV was falling off the wall. It was average at best. Whilst we loved the quietness of the beach, the construction was noisy during the day. Staff were unhelpful and moody at the welcome centre. They looked upset if you asked them a question. We enjoyed the Pink Octopus and the staff were great, but it was so hard to get anywhere else without a car and taxis are super expensive, so we only had this restaurant to choose from. Options for breakfast are limited with a very expensive cafe that only does a bagel for breakfast. It's a remote location though and far from the airport - $100 to get there in a taxi.

Wonderful location with the marina and the beach. We really enjoyed the beach and pool and watching the boats go in and out.

We did not stay after arriving at the property. It was not a beach front hotel. The beach was 400 yards away. You had to pay US$11 per person per day to access the beach. The marina is half built with only 1 restaurant and no shops. We lost our $500 deposit and went to the Lyford Cay instead.

The property was so clean, when we arrived the staff were extremely welcoming and looked after us so well. The restaurant and bar had excellent service and I couldn’t believe the views! Unreal! The marina was beautiful and we booked a boat trip to ‘Rose Island’ didn’t expect it to be a short 20 minute boat ride - wonderful!!! The water was clear as water got some beautiful pictures. Trip was absolutely amazing - wow!

This was the WORST room to have stayed in. You’re above a set of downstairs offices and every single morning I could hear the slamming and opening of the doors to these offices. To make matters even worse I could feel the tremors in the bed with each slam. No restful sleep is to be had in this room AT ALL. There was NO included wifi as advertised so that is completely false. The wall is chipped and had water damage. The bathroom is tiny with a very old dirty rusty shower head. I felt as if I would’ve gotten some type of infection just bathing. There is absolutely NO turn down service. It’s just a basket with towels and that is it for your stay. This was a complete FALSE advertisement on behalf of Palm Cay and I am certainly going to enquire about getting a partial refund. Booking.com needs to do a much better job of verifying these accommodations before advertising them. It is an absolute stain on your reputation and absolute stain! DO NOT choose a stay in the Marina Room of Palm Cay.
