Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandThe restaurants are very expensive, but so was everything in The Bahamas.
Lovely little resort with a small beach, gorgeous lake and several restaurants. There are shops and a supermarket nearby which made it a more affordable stay. The bus to Downtown Naasau goes from right outside. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

United KingdomThe resort was in the middle of nowhere with limited places to eat or drink. The resort itself did not have a breakfast area or bar which was a shame, particularly because the weather wasn't great during our stay. The taxis are quite expensive, specially if you want to go to downtown Nassau which is where all the hotels and restaurants are. Worth hiring a car. These were the only downsides though.
We had a beautiful room/condo by the lagoon beach which was lovely and quiet. The whole resort was peaceful and relaxing. The lagoon beach was beautiful and most of the time we had it completely to ourselves. Definitely a very romantic place!

United StatesI was expecting this property to have swimmable beaches. It is actually connected to a water canal, and they say you can swim there but it wasn't nice. Property is a bit far away from downtown and Port area. The little gazebo that is shown on the picture, the walk path has been damage and you can't access to the gazebo
Room was clean. You can walk around 10 minutes to find a couple of restaurants options. You walk up to 5 minutes to a local bus stop

United KingdomThere isn’t much to do in the surrounding area. Limited food options. A few local restaurants to choose from, but they work out very pricey.

United StatesSea fleas! I have more than 50 painful bites all over my body. The surrounding area, outside of the immediate resort area, felt unsafe and there really wasn't much to do. The food (restaurant and grocery) options on the island as a whole were a lot more expensive than I had planned for, even more so than Hawaii which is where we usually go.
All the staff was very nice and the daily housekeeping was a nice touch. Rooms were as expected although the beds were not very comfortable. Great value for our cost!

GibraltarThe service at the on-site beach restaurant we experienced was very slow. A gratuity was included in all bills yet credit card machine also included option of an extra tip! The menu was wide and the food was delicious though!
The tranquility, peace, calm and relaxation was a feature of this property. We loved the beach area and the lagoon.

United StatesThe lagoon was not a place for going in the water. We had so many mosquito bites. There isn’t much to do in the resort. The restaurant at the beach didn’t have the best food. We had to go get water at the office because it wasn’t provided in the room.
It was clean. Beach was ok, although only 1 restaurant on the beach.

ItalyThe whole area suffered from a lack of thorough maintenance. Yes, there were staff people around most of the time doing cleanings etc. but the problem we found was the lack of attention to general details. Just as an example, we found about 3 rusty screws half-hidden in the sand just in front of the swimming pool. Something like that can easily ruins one's vacation just by stepping on it by accident. Also, some of the furniture in our room was broken or poorly maintained as well. As far as the stoves go, leaving them slightly turnt resulted in a preposterous leak of gas in the room, so no safety secure at all on their switch. Last but not least, most of the staff has not been friendly one bit and looked at us poorly every time we interacted with them. However, we were told, this is somehow a common attitude from local Bahamians towards tourists in general (although this certainly doesn't justify them).
The resort itself is very lovely and, depending on the room assigned (we were given one of the best studios I believe) it can make your stay very pleasant. The little laguna is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the great weather that Nassau has to offer, and the beach is really lovely as well. We loved the fact that we could use the beds and umbrellas on the beach all included with our stay. For the price we paid we were pretty happy with what we were given, just don't expect high luxury-class amenities and rooms and you'll be fine.
