Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesMy bed was unfortunately horrible! probably one of my worst ever and in talking with other guests we had met they all seemed to be in agreement that they were unhappy with their beds as well. I had a lot of back pain my first few days until i started using other pillows to support the deep valleys on both sides. Definitely something the Hyatt needs to address it can definitely put a damper on your quality of sleep and relaxation. my room was not the cleanest, especially behind the pillows on the wall/headboard area. and the floors did not look like they were cleaned at all ( i wore slippers the whole time) service is slow but to be expected. staff is friendly enough but not the friendliest island for sure. prices for simple things like chips and waters/soda are astronomical (i think restaurants are high as well especially for entrees but not as excessive as common things and we are used to high prices coming from NY) i found staff everywhere mostly does their job but not more, for example i watched staff walk past dirty towels and garbage on the floor many times because it must not have been "their designated job" etc. overall very good experience definitely enough to go back overall my experience was great, not enough to complain, we are not overly picky and grateful and appreciative for such a beautiful vacation. just being honest with details for review purposes .
the location and layout of the property was great. many choices (very big but not overwhelming) could walk to everything food was good pretty much everywhere, pools were beautifully laid out and pretty clean for the most part. the cigar bar and piano bar were great as well as the lounge/bar by rosewood. loved baha bay loved all the food/drinks, coffee and ice cream options surrounding the beach. some cute stores on the walkway to the beach and marcus restaurant at the end was a nice feature and a great time.

United StatesI didn’t enjoy their club, Bond. I feel like they advertise it to be much nicer. I believe it’s the only bar opened past 12AM, so we went to try it out one night hoping to be partying all night. The DJ played only one type of music which I couldn’t dance to. The bar in there is really nice, but the dance floor area could use a makeover. We left after 30 minutes.
I loved mostly everything! It was such a lovely place to stay at. I’ll try to break it down… Outdoors: such an amazing resort! So many pools to choose from and each with a nice layout. The place is full of foliage, which added to the tropical vibe. You can see little lizards running around. A very nice place to walk around. The place was very clean, no trash lying around. The beach is beautiful. Water is stunning and sand is nice. You can buy (or bring your own) googles and snorkel in the water. There’s a variety of fish in shallow water, and the further you go out you may see other fish, turtles, and manta rays. There are lifeguards on duty and even one that stays on the water to watch people snorkeling. There’s a boardwalk that you can go on and see sea life from there too. The front of the resort is really nice too. They have some of their restaurants located here and their fountain show that goes on a few times at night. (Side note: I recommend booking a spot at the Baha Beach Pool Club because that pool and view is wonderful. It’s a private pool for those who booked a spot. It is at an extra cost, but what you pay to book the spot goes towards food and drinks, so it’s worth it at the end) Restaurants: before my vacation, I downloaded the Bahamar app to look at restaurants and make some reservations, given other reviews about this. I booked Marcus on the beach in advanced for our one really nice dinner, which was so good! Highly recommend. Their steak was amazing. We would make dinner reservations the day before and were able to get something. We had breakfast at Cleo every morning, which is conveniently located in the main hall of SLS. It was a delicious buffet. Also would recommend Fi’Lia for dinner and N25 for lunch. Interiors of resort: quite big layout of the resort. Definitely getting your steps in if you want to explore the whole place. We didn’t use the casino, but it looks nice. SLS, by far, had the best lobby.

United StatesThe first night our Airconditioner didn’t work properly and we got updated however it cost an additional $160 plus all taxes so over $200 per night! Too much money and Julie (manager) was in flexible. She was the only one that was not accommodating.

United KingdomThe bathroom in the room had a see-through glass door into the bedroom - not sure what couple wants to see their partner in the bathroom. Restaurants were fully booked days in advance so struggled to get a table on certain days.
Great atmosphere, restaurants had great food and the excursion we did (swimming with pigs and island hopping) was amazing!

United StatesThat there are additional charges for lounge chairs, not just as expected for cabanas. We were excited to try out the pretty Baja Bay infinity pools as they are quieter but not enough to spend hundreds to do so.

Great facilities and bars/restaurants, pools and ESPA spa, no problem getting loungers by pool or on beach, friendly helpful staff. Upgraded to a suite a check in, many thanks!

United StatesThe bill I hate the add ins in the Bahamas, they almost charge you to breathe. It would me so much more honest to put all charges in to the room rate. You always have to allow 30per cent plus to know your true bill.

United KingdomThe hotel is cashless - except for tips! So as our room wasn't available we had to use our credit card multiple times for drinks & lunch - which for us means multiple international transaction fees. They said even though we had checked in & they had our credit card details they couldn't issue our chipped wrist bands until our room was ready.... Buffet breakfast area was a little soulless but our server was very good. The cafe service was very slow. Two bottles on water from the beach food truck - $30! This included a tax for the truck and another for the hotel.
The beach area was beautiful - as were the pools. The concierge gave us two fabulous restaurant recommendations off site. Really good live band in the Jazz bar.
