I had lots of problems getting a good WIFI connections, good verity at the buffet but food was barley warm. Some tours were not available at the tour desk based on the minimum required people.

The food on the a la carte menu was hit or miss. My lunch wrap was great, but my son's pizza was not. Rather stick to the buffet at night and basics for lunch from the pool menu like wraps or burgers. Pool menu also better value for money than main restaurant menu.

The breakfast buffet was amazing with views from the restaurant over the Chobe river. The activities desk was extremely helpful and organized a private birding boat trip for us with a birding guide as well as a full day drive to Chobe National Park with lunch. The sunset cruise departing directly from the hotel is also recommended. Our family room was spacious, modern and clean.

Check in could be a lot faster...

The best location in the world for holidays. The food was second to none. There is wildlife everywhere around the hotel, truly in touch with nature.

We were hosted in the furthest cottage/room although loads of space were available closer to the main area. Seems this is the place where the security guards sit and chat the whole Nite. We had dinner which was extremely disappointing. My wife ordered a baby chicken, it was the size of two matchboxes. We asked the waiter beforehand if the dish was filling. The waiters clearly did not know the menu. Extremely disappointed in such a highly rated hotel.

The two persons at the bar , the one with the amazing view on the river, seemed really lost and to get some food was super long. The regular pool was closed.

I loved the view from the bar but also from the room. I loved the room space, the housekeeping team was good and preparing the mosquito net over the bed every night, the spa was great. Max’s massages were amazing. The whole personnel was helpful.

the room is very outdated (especially the bathroom, have a very strong drainage odor). there were coffee (or something else?) stained everywhere on the floor. pool is dirty. they also put the sprays for cleaning and mosquitoes very visible and reachable to kids (very unsafe!)

They need to have complimentary bug sprays in each room as the mosquitoes were brutal. That kinda put a ding on the comfort level. Other African hotels we’ve stayed at have them available complimentary in their rooms.

I liked how attentive the front desk staff were as well as our assigned housekeeper Dikitso. She was exceptional & very kind-hearted. She even found my USA-ID outside our door which happened to have accidentally fell out of the wallet from the previous night while removing the room key. She did a wonderful job cleaning our rooms during our stay. We recognized her dedication and hard work. Thank you Ms. Dikitso.

The restaurant service for lunch was very poor. The entire hotel doesn’t have a microwave which is disappointing for such a well-established place, so if we needed to re-heat food, they re-cooked it which resulted in burning
