Excellent accommodation with great staff, who went the extra mile to satisfy the needs of guests. The food was outstanding, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Everything was well organised and professionally managed. This was our best stay in Botswana, and we will visit again.

Great location for exploring the Chobe region. Our room was clean and comfortable, we took advantage of the pool as well as the various activities on offer (including safaris, boat cruise and Victoria Falls day trip). The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was as enjoyable as possible, in particular Sofia, Unity and Matthews.

Amazing welcome from Sofia and her team. The activities led by Matthew and John were fantastic, almost having the feeling of private safaris on the 3 we did, due to the intimate nature of the groupings. Their river safari boat is spacious and modern, whilst their game drive vehicles are some of the best we've been on. Excellent pool area, complimentary safari lunch and modern, clean accommodation make it the best value choice we could have found in the Chobe area without compromising on quality. Lovely riverside setting tops it off. Can't recommend River View Lodge enough.

I am struggling to think of anything I didn't like.

We found River View Lodge to be an ideal base in Kasane. It is very well situated, close to the airport, town, shops, banks, etc. It has a lovely outlook over the Chobe River and is quiet and peaceful. It had a lovely pool so one could cool off in the middle of the day. They offered a great half day safari into Chobe, a boat trip in the afternoon on the Chobe river and a day visit to Victoria Fall, all of which we participated in, and enjoyed thoroughly.

I would like to make two suggestions. Firstly it would be nice to have more options in terms of dinner regarding the protein. I think you have a magnificent chef , but the choices for dinner is very limited. Secondly your bar is so busy , especially when its so hot. A basic wisky is Jameson. Please have it on your list. Teach the barman to make a River View Sunset ( a tequila sunrise ). With a little initiative and a bit wider range you can push your turnover at the bar.

1) the evening meal while being perfectly acceptable was a bit bland.

1) one of the owners was usually on site, was very helpful and friendly and managed the lodge extremely well. 2) excellent half day trips organised at very competitive prices. We saw loins, elephants, hyppos and crocodiles close up. 3) everything was very clean and attractively presented. 4) small scale, intimate nature of the lodge - they have about 12 rooms. Peaceful, relaxed environment.

AMAZING! We absolutely loved our stay. The staff were lovely and friendly. The boat cruises were fantastic! The breakfast, lunch & dinner were exceptional.
