Mattresses needed to be replaced (sunken in the middle to a huge degree), and 2 days we were without hot water in the shower. Internet is spotty but that may be true for all of Placencia

The main restaurant Laguna could have had a more varied menu. I wish there were more shuttles into Placencia town in the later afternoon, early evening.

The room set up was great! Spectacular ocean views. Pool Bar was fantastic! Big beautiful pool. Property very well maintained.

The pool/beach area is great. Volleyball area, large wooden Jenga, bacci ball, paddle boards and kayaks you can use as you like, nice ocean swimming area, clean lovely beach... excellent wifi by the pool. Books to borrow from reception. It was excellent. Also, the food was really good.

great location, steps from the sea and amazing sunrises, staff were very accomadating, great roomy condo, huge comfortable beds, kayak, standup paddles, saw dolphins, rays, manatees and lots fish right out in front of the complex, great for snorkelling/swimming, huge pool and the restaurant food was very nice as were the staff

The dinner was not great. We were so very happy until my husband went to pay for something after we left and all his US dollars were gone. He lost $300 CASH. He had left his wallet in the room when we went to the beach. The hotel needs a safe in each room.

The property is great. The beachside is fun. There are paddle boards, kayaks, and a pool. The staff keeps the sand and all areas beautiful. Jamie the bartender made unique drinks. The front desk people were very helpful: Julie , Shar, and the new young man. Breakfast was great.

Can’t think of anything I didn’t like. I got eaten alive by the mosquitoes (even with off on) but I have the same problem in Louisiana.

Great location, staff is exceptional but as others have said the food and drinks are a bit pricey but it’s vacation.

The light on the AC unit was very bright and made it difficult to sleep unless we shut off the AC. Also, heard babies crying through the walls. We woke up several times in the middle of the night from the folks above us having a good time. Some bed post coasters or a rug under the bed or something could be helpful. No hot water in the shower. And the shower sprays water all over the bathroom floor making it very wet. Poor design.

The bathroom tub did not have a stopper so that you can have a tub bath. After all the pool was full of mosquitoes.

I was told dogs were allowed, then they said I had to pay 50US for my tiny 10 pound dog. I was not pleased about that. That should have been stated before I booked.

The rooms could have been maintained better, for a 5 star resort the rooms are a bit run down. The resort put on a private event during the day which we didn’t mind but the music and do was very loud all day by the beach area. Where we booked a extra night for the reason to be able to relax by the pool. We went to reception to ask the manager If they could just turn the music down slightly. The manager said he will see what he can do( nothing happened) we didn’t end up staying as it was very loud.

The view was great, Room and balcony was a nice size, the beds were comfy. One of the young restaurant staff was excellent and a young lady and gentleman at reception had great service.

The WIFI didn’t work great in the whole suite, but it was okay. Gave me a break from my phone.

I enjoyed the beach, pool, and the view of the lagoon (even though it was cloudy and we didn’t great a great sunset). The room was very spacious, and I liked having the little kitchen.

The bathrooms in our suite were dated with stains and chipped areas. Also, the rooms were not cleaned properly. We had to deep clean our fridge, the kitchen sink and and bathroom sink. Stains on the wall were not removed. I was afraid to even take a bath in the tub.

The grounds , exterior and common areas were beautiful and well maintained.

Of the six rooms we got, four of them had plumbing issues. Wifi was not reliable in the room we had on the far end of the last building on the lagoon side. Perhaps a pool on the lagoon side would be great. it felt like hard work to walk across the street to access the pool. I wish they had a menu with more items esp for getting snacks by the pool. The pizza from the pizzeria was obscenely overpriced compared to the quality and how do you serve pizza, but not wings? The two go together. The Laguna restaurant had a nice ambiance but the food could have been better and had more options. We actually made dinner reservations but decided to cancel it after we had breakfast.

Location was decent. Close enough but still sufficiently distant from the hustle and bustle of the village. PET FRIENDLY! Staff were really welcoming and helpful. Very accommodating as well.

Bikes and kayaks were not well maintained. Bike chain kept falling off from lack of grease. Kayak was cracked and filled up with water. Our first room had no hot water and Wi-Fi. Kitchen sink was plugged, kitchen cupboard handles were all broken and phone was not working. We were moved to another room which was better expect the AC was not working in main area (Kitchen/dining/living room). We reported broken AC 3 times during our 7 day stay. It was finally fixed on our last day.
