Cocotal Inn is a wonderful haven near San Pedro. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The option to kayak out to the reef and snorkel was an added bonus!

This is more a note of advice about the island, if you go prepared for mosquito and sand fly bites it will make your stay more comfortable. I would leave your shoes outside and not carry sand in your apartment, and wrap food well due to ants. I would like to reinforce this is not about Cocotal but a general issue.

We loved the location, it was so serene and peaceful. Attractive looking property, with the best and cleanest pool in central America. Outstanding customer service from the staff. The room was very well equipped. The staff helped us sort a golf buggy and we went to the town, Secret Beach, but the 2 best visits were to Tranquility Bay and a fly over of the blue hole. Just magical, we will go back.

Beautiful cabana! Very spacious one bedroom with a wonderful porch! Staff was exceptional, always making sure we had everything we needed. We stayed two extra nights! Beach area was beautiful and we met a lot of nice people there.

I think an extra mirror on the wall between closet and dresser would be great. There is only one mirror which makes it very crowded in the restroom. An extra blanket in the closet would also be a great idea. Overall, a great place to stay but these accommodations would be great.

It was very quiet, close to everything, especially Secret Beach. It was nice there were bikes to use and Kayaks.

Bikes were available for guests. Staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. The first night we arrived at the hotel was very late. Ben, the manager drove us and picked us up at the restaurant nearby for dinner. The staff provided an extra air mattress for my son with no additional charge and allowed late checkout because of no future guests arriving on the same day.

Fees were a bit tricky to understand and so ended up paying more than we thought. Price quoted was in CND then converted to USD but charged in BZD which showed on our statement as CDN and was about $500 more than advertised due to tax that we didn’t realize and conversions of dollars.

Not a massive resort. Not too close the the bustle of town, but not so far away that you were isolated. Loved the tin roof and the large dock with hammocks. Beautiful pool, well kept grounds and really exceptional staff.

We loved the quiet 2-bedroom 2nd floor unit that had a spacious living room and kitchen. We enjoyed the location which was easily accessible from the water taxi by the golf cart that we rented. The pier gave us easy access to all of the snorkeling trips that we went on.

It’s a bit further north than we realized. There is plenty to do and eat nearby, but you will want a golf cart to visit downtown San Pedro. But you’d likely want that just about anywhere you stay, so I wouldn’t let it get in the way of staying here.

Great place! We loved the shoreline access with hammocks and beach chairs. They offered free bike and kayak rental which was fun and super convenient, especially to access nearby restaurants. The room itself was very big, even our budget-friendly option - we had a full-size fridge and living room. The staff provided a complimentary shuttle from the water taxi and was able to assist with other accommodations on a moment’s notice (golf cart rental, for example).

Beach. No access to beach that was clean. Steps on pier were totally covered with growth. No way to get in and out of water easily.
