Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BelizeThere was a coffee maker but coffee nor tea were provided. No restaurant so we had to drive into the village. I wasn't sure if the nearby resorts would be welcoming for breakfast being that we didn't stay there.
It sat right on the beach and we had access to the sea. It was peaceful and quiet.

El SalvadorWe recommend that they check to make sure the fridge is working to adequate temperatures. It did work, but we had to eat everything very quickly so the food didn't spoil.
The place was great. Great location, you could just chill at the place because you knew you have all you need. One of the most fully equipped kitchenettes and condos I've ever seen. You basically don't have to bring anything but your clothes.

United StatesToilet in Condo 20 doesn’t flush well. The AC in the living room wasn’t working properly. Never cooled the space. Broken glass louvers in the front door and kitchen window. Oxidation/hard water crust in the bathroom window screen. Occasional brown stains on white towels. Heavily oxidized and rusted door knob on front door.

CanadaWe made an error in our booking date through booking.com and could not get them to respond effectively by email or phone. We called several times from our hotel Costa Blu from their desk clerk. Couldn't t get through and unable to get through on our cell phone. We couldn't confirm our dates effectively, arrived a day early after a 4 hour drive as couldn't t get through by phone to find they would charge us an expensive fee for a room as we were a day early. They said they would not charge us for the April 25 as we wanted to leave that day but then charged us for it. We had to get the property manager to call them on arrival as still not able to reach by phone. Very distressing time in a foreign country. They did give us a lovely condo for o e night at double the price.We were then moved to another condo which was very dated, a noisy creaky couch with a worn futon, frying pan with the Teflon worn off so unsafefor cooking, toaster that didn t work a leaking kitchen sink, and the hot water tap in the shower came off and we couldn't t stop hot water from flowing out,,,Thank God my husband was able to fix it so the condo owner didn't t lose money for a lot of hot water loss. When we emailed the owners about the issues we got a new small fry pan and toaster, sink leak on hold as had to order a new sink trap pipe. Pillows were very hard and bed uncomfortable verses the rental we had our first night which was excellent. I usually am quite tolerant of accommodations and service glitches but very disappointed with booking.com and this owners assistance to correct the issues described. They need to re imburse us for April 25 as promised at least. We will be commenting on trip advisor!!!!

United Stateswe had a dead rat in our condo that had been there for several days before and during our stay! We complained about a horrible odor but they did not check the trap in the bedroom. After 2 days my daughter stood on the bed and saw a large dead rat in a trap on the ledge. We got the maintenance guy and carried his ladder so he would remove it immediately. The condo continued to smell as they did not do a thorough cleaning. This ruined our stay in that area. Vacasa handles the property and they would just send texts saying sorry. So disappointing!

United StatesIt was hard for us to figure out the laundry service. But we just took our stuff to another place.
I love the privacy and that you don’t need to check in. Your key is in the lock box outside your suite and they give you the code. It’s the perfect place for independent vacationers.
