Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe food that was served was not very exciting. Also the staff were polite but not very warm or engaging. It was like asking an introvert do a client facing role.
The location is in the middle of the forest. You can hear the nature all around you. It is magical. Also the facilities are great with attention to detail.

Amazing jungle setting with beautiful grounds and super nice and helpful staff. Not buggy at all. I got fewer bug bites there than I did staying at an expensive hotel in Placencia. The labyrinth was super cool and just what I needed. Family friendly, with good solid food served at breakfast and dinner for a reasonable price. I want to come back with our family.

United StatesThe property is actually more beautiful than in the pictures! The room feels like you are staying in a luxurious bungalow in the middle of the jungle. The staff was incredibly friendly. We hiked around on the trails provided by the hotel that go up into the jungle. I can't say enough about how wonderful our stay at Jaguar Creek was!

ItalyBreakfast, lunch and dinners are properly served the qualities good and there is plenty but a little bit pricey
The location is stunning. The cabanas are beautifully furniture and fully equipped with all needed amenities you can hike. There is a fun creek, caves and parks at walking distance. The staff organizes very easily all that is needed. The food is pricey for what you are served but the quality is very good and there is plenty Better accessible. If you have rented a car, I would definitely recommend it. We actually canceled another hotel in order to stay there another night I would suggest an approximately three nights stay to do all the activities around the area.

United KingdomThe meals are a little odd - fixed times, you have to register for them in advance and no options. However, they do cater to dietary requirements and meals are reasonably priced. Didn't appear to be any snacks available in between meal times. Some of the staff (waitress) did not provide the quality of service I would have expected. The laundry service was a disappointment - my clothes were returned in a screwed up ball in a bag, completely crumpled.
A stunning location in the forest, surrounded by so many birds and the sound of howler monkeys at night. Close to St Herman's Cave, and with free bikes so you can cycle there. The cabana was beautiful, comfortable and clean, with everything you needed including a mosquito net around the bed. Carlos was a fabulous host, working all the hours to arrange tours, transport and mix a mean Pina colada.

United StatesThe restaurant staff was friendly but lacked a little bit of the personal attention and smiles you would expect in a property like this. We were only there for one night so maybe we just hit an off day. We still highly recommend this place and would go back!
Amazing location with beautifully decorated rooms. We did the little hike on the property and our daughter went down the river with the river tubes about 10 times. The grounds are lush and pretty with lots of platforms/areas to lounge. Great food at a very reasonable price.

United StatesI didn’t like that you eat food at certain times only with an hour block of time. the bar isn’t open all the time. bring something with you. if you’re hungry going to resort or leaving, you’ll be stopping at the same place each time. I could’ve done without that
the property was very well maintained. the bed might be one of the softest beds I’ve slept on.

United StatesThere is only one thing I can think of that was bothersome to my daughter-in-law. She and my son had a line of leaf-cutter ants eating one of the plants in their cabana. I found this fascinating; she did not so much. The ants were in no way bothering them, but we mentioned it to Carlos the next morning, and he absolutely took care of the problem while we were away for a few hours. I have no idea what he did, but it worked! The service at Jaguar Creek was exceptional in all areas!
I don't even know where to begin to say how wonderful our stay was at Jaguar Creek. When my family stepped onto the boardwalk leading into the complex, Carlos, our host, was there to greet us with a warm welcome. The lush foliage, the beautiful bird songs, and the pristine condition of the grounds exceeded all of our expectations. I have lived in Bolivia and the Casamance region of Senegal, so tropical climates are not new to me. However, I think Jaguar Creek is one of the most beautiful tropical places I have ever been. It is located very near to the inland Blue Hole and St. Herman's Cave. Ziplining, Mayan ruins, and ATM cave are all within about a one hour drive. The service was exceptional for dining, touring, and any other thing we needed help with. A big thank you to Carlos for your kindness and keeping our family of seven on time for all of our adventuring, and a big shout-out to Darrel, our server, bartender, and ATM cave buddy. We wish we had more time to master the game of Poker with you. The memories we made here will last a lifetime. We must mention one other thing. Jaguar Creek gives a portion of all profits to the surrounding schools, students, and teachers to support their education, health, and mental well-being. PathLight is the name of this program. So not only did we get to stay in an extraordinarily breathtaking place, we also, in a small way, were helping the surrounding communities. I highly recommend Jaguar Creek!

CanadaThey advertised free tubing but only had 3 tubes. That was a disappointment for a family of 5. The wifi advertised seemed to just be a hotspot off the check-in guys phone. You had to be basically next to him and I never did get connected.
The rooms were really nice for a family. Beautiful setting. Pricey, but we read it is for a good cause. From a bird-watchers point of view, this place is awesome! Nice raised boardwalks everywhere to enjoy all the species. Good was good too.

United KingdomThere’s no wifi, good incentive to disconnect a bit. However you can access a hotspot near the entrance, which is useful for emergencies.
Perfect location. Just remember you’re in the jungle, so there will be sounds at night. We spent 3 nights in the most remote cabin, we were the only ones in the hotel, so it was just us in the nature. Plenty of hummingbirds flowing around the hibiscus, we saw a group of wild little pigs one morning just under our window, lots of fireflies every evening at dusk on our way to the restaurant… quite magical. The vegetation is luscious, with lots of flowers and trees. There’s everything you need in the cabins, from water dispensers to mosquito sprays (we even had a hammock in our cabin!). The mosquito / bug isolation of the cabin is pretty thorough, but the bed mosquito net offers extra protection. The cabins are very spacious. There was a few fans. Shower worked fine. We enjoyed tubing / bathing in the river along the estate. With the free bikes provided you can ride to the chocolate farm grab an iced coffee or cycle to the blue hole, which are very nearby. The hotel also offers a variety of tours / activity. We did the nearby cave tour. The food was delicious. It’s a set menu but there’s hasn’t been one meal prepared by the cook we didn’t like / finish. The staff was so helpful and kind. Lots of little attentions, like flower petals in our room at arrival or for our last diner… and anything to make our stay more enjoyable. And after speaking to the staff, we found out that it’s a non profit place, and they’re actually helping local students. All in all, it was an amazingly relaxing stay, and it felt even better knowing you’re helping the local community by staying there.

The location was amazing! I really felt that I was in the middle of the Jungle. Waking up to the birds and hearing the howler monkeys in the distance was wonderful. The meals were excellent and well priced, they were large portions my son and I could have shared, but they tasted so good. It was honestly the best food I had on the trip.
