Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Very comfortable, great location - a short walk from the ferry. It’s on the main street but the room was very quiet. Breakfast was ok in the nearby restaurant. Staff was nice and helpful.

United StatesThe only drawback was that the complimentary breakfast took awhile. But after the first day, we built that into our schedule.
Location was very convenient near the Ferry Dock. Room was spacious and clean. It was right in the midst of things, a short walk from bars, restaurants, grocery stores, many dive shops.

I was a little disappointed with the service. Towels replaced and garbage emptied only after I specifically asked them to do it. The breakfast was really sub standard.

CanadaNo pool! The brand new hotel is very incomplete without a pool. - you get one room key card and If you lose it, they charge you $100 BZD to replace it. Which is $50 USD They tell you that the minute you check in and it's not a good way to start your stay coz you're always scared of losing it.
The location is literally right infront of the water taxi dock. The breakfast is good. Choice between pancakes, French toast, bagel or English breakfast. The hotel is new and Clean as well

United StatesThe hotel resturaunt closes so early, like at 3pm daily. They didn't seem really to have the same energy that the hotel service had. Very different, like they were not happy giving us breakfast daily.
I love Floyd Wade!!! and the front desk staff. They were really attentive to all my needs. They were kind and very sweet.

BelizeClimbing the stairs were a bit tiring after exploring the island and being on our feet for most of the day.
The Caye Hotel is your perfect stay away from home. We were very appreciative of the staff for being very accommodating. They decorated the room just as requested prior to arriving and the birthday girl definitely enjoyed the view. In addition, after exploring the island all day soaking up the sun and salt, their cool soft and comfy beds were the perfect addition in making us feel right at home. Comfort is definitely their number 1 priority!

United StatesOnly negative of location might be noise because you are on main road across from basketball courts.
The location is great. Very close to water taxi. Conveniently located on Main Street and easy to get to most places. Staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was simple, with same options everyday, but good. Good stay for value. Good size, clean room with balcony and AC. Also had a nice rooftop sitting area.

United StatesI wish on the website you could state that toilet paper is not to be put in the toilet. Also, since there is a sewer problem, which is an island problem, add bio hazard can. Housekeeping did not stock amenities daily(water, soap, toilet paper, etc. Had to constantly request it.
I loved the location.

AustraliaThe price is somewhat questionable considering no facilities on offer eg: No pool, no bar, no gym and Not enough filtered water available. FYI Little ants everywhere, but that's a problem at all hotels on the island.
The location is directly opposite the police station and ferry wharf. The staff were professional and proficient. The room was clean and comfortable. The Aircon was heavenly and not overly disturbing when sleeping. The shower provided great pressure and temperature. The balcony with its seaview was a bonus, allowing for some main street entertainment during the evenings. Breakfast was delicious in the adjoining cafe. You're right next to the bars and restaurants so no need to rent a golf cart.

PortugalI don’t recommend this hotel, it would be nicer to have one with a more local flair, with garden, common areas, a caribbean vibe. And the personnel didn’t help either. It was very central but rather noisy outside, they were organising markets down in the road; the safe didn’t work properly, they came to check it and was working but again it wouldn’t close. Breakfast was included, but there was very little choice. And the room didn’t have anything to prepare a coffee and also the coffee area closed very early and didn’t offer espresso. The hotel has a terrace in the 5th floor (no elevator) with great views but it was unused… what a shame; they really didn’t know or didn’t want to bring out the best, just offer a boring service.
The room was good, with very good bed, balcony with sea view; bathroom was okay. However this hotel could be anywhere, in any city in any country… The hotel is directly in front of the ferry pier, in the centre of the island. The clothes washing worked well.
