Wasn’t the cleanest place we stayed Kitchen very dirty. I understand ants are unavoidable but it was excessive. Everything needed to be washed before use. All knobs etc missing on cooker. Fridge needed to be cleaned Bathroom wasn’t super clean either, lots of ants there too

It was HOT, hotter inside than out. We turned the a/c on right away and it took a while to cool down and stop sweating. It was hotter in the common areas than outside. Cash only on check in- I luckily had enough on me, but another guest had only credit cards available. There was a bit of a language barrier upon checking in at arrival. My Spanish is rudimentary at best...

The air conditioner worked, and the beds were comfortable, the whole place was very clean. Access to a common kitchen with a good fridge/freezer and a water cooler. There are dishes, cookware, appliances, spices and condiments, and coffee available... The shower was big enough for a kid or three... there's a porch swing overlooking the street and plants in flower boxes, and plant stands and pots. Other guests were friendly and it was nice to talk about their travels and recommendations! Street parking was available, and restaurants and shopping all within walking distance.

The host Hugo and his team Javier and Nellie were exceptional. Best host I’ve encountered so far on my bookings. Very informative and helpful. Property is 1 block away from banks, restaurants and bars, the fresh market, and grocery stores. Best location in San Ignacio.

The place could use some renovation, at least replace some of the old furniture and a paint job. Location should have been good, center of town, but barely anything open nearby, especially after sunset.

Great location and price. Hugo is a good man, I recommend this above most B&b’s, hostel etc. You get free freshwater to drink, showers are amazing and bed not bad.

Two minor things I want to mention so others know. I didn't realize there was a doorbell (it's above my eye level to the left of the gate to get into the building), so when I arrived early I ended up sitting on the curb for a while (it was in the shade, and I was fine - just thought I'd mention it to help others find it). I had seen in a review that they only take cash, so I was ready, but it is not clear from the information on booking.com and is buried at the end of the confirmation email.

Convenient location, friendly manager, had everything I needed. I was very grateful for the drinking water and the kitchen.

Beds were comfortable, room was clean and tidy. Air con worked very well. Needed some brighter lights in the overhead fixture, the Manager came in and quickly replaced the bulbs with brighter ones. Was in a safe and quiet area. Very good deal for the price.

Location was perfect in the center of downtown San Ignacio. The guesthouse had a large kitchen for all to use and the welcome air conditioning in the room was so appreciated after a long day touring around. Major plus is the washer and dryer on site- what a great value in Belize.

The location was great. The host was lovely and very kind and helpful. I liked being able to use the communal kitchen to make my breakfast each day and it was a real joy to be able to do my own washing for once in this trip.

Very communicative and pleasant host, he gave us many useful information. The room was big enough, there was also a chair and a table - we love it where there is enough space to empty our knapsacks. Hot water in the shower and facilities in the common kitchen to prepare your own food.

Wifi was sometime weak. There was a man living in a room with his son, I believe, he must have been the owner or caretaker, as he was doing some jobs there. He was a bit grumpy and listed to the TV way too loud, you could hear it in the entire house.

The location was great - easy walk from bus station, market, tour companies. Well equipped large kitchen. There was a young man who worked there during the day, he was extremely helpful and kind, gave lots of great advise.
