Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaThe building itself could use some TLC. The entrance area and staircase were quite worn down and dirty/ messy. But wasn't a big deal for us.
The location was perfect, being right downtown close to the shops and restaurants. The suite was clean and comfortable. The price reflected the space and was a great value for our needs.

CanadaTowel bar above the toilet needs to be secured. Grouting in the bathroom floor is coming out. A boot mat is needed. Some more dishes and cutlery would be helpful to avoid having to run the dishwasher all the time. We needed some more dishwasher tablets, but the owner provided them right away. The bed was unusually soft. The blinds did not rise. The rear entrance is fine and convenient and not scary but it does smell like wet dog.
Nice unit that was clean and in a great location. I liked the lock security feature and also the camera at the front door. The owner was good at responding to requests. It had almost everything we needed. Plenty of soap and shampoo toiletries were provided. The towels were new and clean. There was a pay-per-use laundry available down the hall even though it was not mentioned in the listing.

CanadaBed seemed comfortable, but we both woke up with back ache! Entrance was in need of TLC.
Location was excellent - right on main street, with stores and restaurants within easy walking distance. Super clean apartment. Nice view of mountains and main street. Very small balcony was good to sit with a drink. Parking (included) was immediately behind the apartment, which is a necessity in Canmore.

CanadaEntrance to building and hallway not well maintained, dirty and stuffy. Also, we were told unit was ready at 3:15 check in was 4 pm, but access code was not working. It took a few minutes to have it reset. Unfortunately, the sofa bed was really uncomfortable. I would not recommend for adult guests (probably ok for children though)

CanadaI did like as soon as I paid on line through booking.com the price increased just under 100$. Was surprised and of course it's say no refunds several times through the process.
