Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaI can't comment on the staff because we didn't see any. The gentleman from the restaurant kitchen took us to our room and he was very nice but we didn't see him again. There wasn't anyone around at breakfast and there weren't any spoons for the cereal or yogurt and the hot water for tea wasn't hot. The selection was poor. It's early in the season so it looked like they hadn't had time to spruce up the outside areas.
Beds were comfortable, room was nice and it was a nice atmosphere. There was a nice comfy lobby/lounge to relax in.

CanadaThe breakfast was sparse with only store-bought muffins and coffee. The room could use an additional mirror since there was only one in the bathroom.
The location was central and closeby to friends. The room and bathroom was clean with fluffy towels.

Breakfast was terrible. Stale cookies and cinnamon bun. It was dark, no one was there. I could not see in the dark and couldn’t find a cup for tea. I fumbled around for over 20mins. I did not see any staff. I was very disappointed. The room was freezing when I entered. No one thought ahead to put some heat on in the room. Even though I had to tell them when I was going to arrive.

CanadaThere was supposed to be breakfast included and no one ever showed up to open for it. I was on my way to work nearby and unable to find anything open, so was very disappointed that I did not get the breakfast that I had paid for. Also, it was SO loud in the hotel. They had live music in the bar and I could still hear it in my room, while wearing earplugs. Staff was not very helpful.
Room was clean and comfortable.

CanadaThe staff wasn’t around for check-in. Had to call said he would be there called again no answer. The fridge in the room hadn’t been cleaned out. Crumbs and french fries everywhere. In the shower was a soap wrapper with no soap. The shampoo bottle had some missing but the conditioner was full. No hair dryer. From our room could hear the restaurant music below to the point we were singing along with the music. When we arrived there was a bag of garbage inside the hotel as you enter. It stayed there for 24 hours.
The beds were very comfortable. Great location. The lobby and sitting area are very nice.

CanadaService is slow. Staff are hard to find at times. There are some questionable renovations, poor lighting and lack of cleaning in certain parts of the room. Minor Holes in the ceiling and walls that could be patched up and extra lights could be installed. Lamps and light fixtures could be cleaned and dusted. I saw dead flies and spiders in the overhead lights. Overall it is satisfactory 6 or 7 stars. Lots could be improved but improvements come at a price tag. I was comfortable sleeping and it's mostly couples and families that stay. No loud noise that I heard. The temperature was good and easy to adjust. We didn't watch TV and the breakfast was just a basic Continental breakfast with DiY instant oatmeal, danishes, mini.muffins, doughnuts and tea bags. Some toast as well and bananas and fruit only served from 8am to 10am. I would definitely return but I would not pay $200+. Only under $150 per night
For the price you can't go wrong. It's under 20 minutes drive to downtown Huntsville. And just minutes away to port sydney. I asked for a 2nd floor bedroom and was accommodated.

CanadaRooms are not very well equipped, they don't have toiletries in the bathrooms, no room service phone lines, the rooms don't have automatic heating. The room doesn't provide ANY water, there are no water dispensers in the hotel, wonder where they expect customers to fill their water bottles. There is no one at the reception ever! Staff is extremely limited. Breakfast was decent but could have been better. With the price they charge, the rooms could keep a water heater kettle and at least a microwave.
The place is comfortable, rooms are well cleaned and maintained. They have breakfast available which is convenient. The location is also quite good. Not far from downtown or the main attractions.

CanadaThe breakfast could have been so much better. Nothing hot and options very small. Lights were left off also so hard to tell that it was even breakfast time.
It was close to the wedding venue we were going to. The price did not break the bank. The beds have brand new mattresses that had us sleeping like babies. The windows actually open so fresh air and motions sounds were peaceful

CanadaThere needs to be some work done on the balconies. Some of the boards are pretty close to rotten. The chairs in a couple of balconies were broken. Seems like just some updates to these things is needed. The continental breakfast was nice, but lacking in some things that were there last time.
The location was perfect for our golf weekend at North Granite Ridge. The beds are super comfortable. Check in was great. Overall we had a good experience.

Canadathe lighting in the room was not good - too dark for any work to be done at the desk in the evening. There should be a couple more table lamps - especially a bit brighter ones on each side of the bed, and one on the desk. A full length mirror somewhere on a wall/in the closet area would have been helpful
it was ok.....minimal choice for food, but coffee was good. Location was good - it would have been helpful if it was available until at least 10 am.

CanadaWe stayed there for 2 night and hand no hot water. We did bring to the staff's attention and they advised us that it needs to run to become warm. it was later discovered that the water tank had broke.
We rented the private suite. it was gorgeous and spacious. It had beautiful large windows that allowed natural light in. The bed was comfortable.

CanadaFrom the photos, we thought the motel was on a beach, but it was quite far from the water, down a highway. That was disappointing.
The modern vibe was very nice. The beds were comfortable, and the room was very clean. Having a bit of the complimentary breakfast was great - although the staff on duty didn't know how to make coffee. Overall, it was very pleasant.

CanadaWe rented the loft/duplex room (#15) for one night. The bathroom light wasn't working on our arrival, but a quick trip to the front desk and they had the problem fixed. There are notes posted above the outlets indicating you can only plug in one appliance at a time. My hairdryer quit halfway through drying my hair the next morning and it was the only appliance plugged into the outlet. We called the desk and left a message, but no one got back to us until we were about to check out at 11. Also the light above the kitchenette sink didn't work. The room was quite cold when we arrived because the windows were open. We closed them and tried to start the two fireplaces to take the chilli off, but neither remote would work. We had to use the electric baseboard heaters instead. The bed on the lower level was firm to the point that our son couldn't sleep on it. Self-serve breakfast consisted of coffee, stale pastries, toast and peanut butter/jam, packaged oatmeal, cold cereal. No juice, water or other drinks for non coffee/tea drinkers.
Our room was clean and comfortable. Good water pressure and hot water in the shower. The local general store (David's) was charming.
