Excellent location, very good value. We enjoyed our stay very much. The comon bathroom was not a big issue and the kitchen area was nice for breakfast.

The walls were pretty thin,so it was inevitable to hear all noises outside your room. I am not a sound-sensitive kind of person then I found that out not a big problem,but if you really are,you might to take it in your mind before making a reservation.

First of all,all facilities were clean.I never felt any odd scent kind of thing that you sometimes might feel when staying in random hostels. The location was also nice,the closest station was Sherbourne,but you can walk to Yongebloor which is one of the most convenient one out of all metro stations. Staff was also great,they were quite friendly and I believe nobody can complain about that.

Since it was October and chilly, we wished we had a way to put on the heating by ourselves.

We liked how they have daily cleaning for the common areas. The patio was also a very great place for breakfast / meal time. The staff were very helpful.

I wish the room wasn’t a red colour, the red colour too distracting to rest up, bedroom should always be a calm colour, should not be heavy colour in 4 walls . hopefully the second floor washroom will upgrade as soon as possible like basement washroom the white tiles, it will look cleaner.

dont like how there was a old guy walking around the hostel making everyone feel uncomfortable, (would not recommend if the old guy is still staying there) stay away from the old man with a colorful tattoo on his left arm and dyed hair in room 24 made the hostel experience a nightmare (AVOID THIS PLACE)

It would have been nice to have curtains at the bunk beds.

Owner was very kind and helped me retrieve my lost phone. Place was clean, central and fairly priced. Would recommend for solo travelers as well, it was easy to meet other people.

One of the nights I was woken by arguing in the hallway, it went on for at least an hour. Turns out someone who was claiming to have a reservation but didn’t. This led to the owner getting into a physical altercation with the obviously mentally ill homeless lady in the hallway of the hostel. The police and paramedics were called by another guest. As a solo female traveller this made me feel a little unsafe.

My stay at 49 Hostel was great! The hostel is in a cute little house, very clean, with a small kitchen and a seating area in the courtyyard. The owner was always available when I needed something. The location is good due to its connection to the subway. I would absolutly recommend it.

We booked by 49 hostels and we got a room by All Day hostels absolutely no go. Only 4 bathrooms for so many people and no toilets only. The carpets were ugly and not so clean.

It was clean and it was near the center and the metro station was 5 minutes away. A creat supermarket was 1 minute away.
