It was not a big deal, but parking was a little confusing. I did arrive on a weekend day. The area was busy because of the lake, and me being from out of town was overwhelmed. There is pay to park 1 block over and that made everything better.

The location was in walking distance of the beach, restaurants, and the concert venue (history). My trip was about a concert and this property was perfect.

We had a lovely stay. The suite was cozy, and we had everything that we needed. We were sent clear and detailed instructions on how how to check in, and we were also sent information about the area. The Beaches is a beautiful area, and the suite is right by the water. It does take approximately an hour to get to the location from downtown via street car. However, we were aware of this when we booked the location, so it wasn't a surprise, and the street car route is simple.

The room is in the basement of an old house, therefore as expected you can hear steps and noise from upstair. I didn't stay for too long in the room during the day, so it didn't bother me much, in one of the nights I could hear steps and noise (probably flushing) upstairs around 1am.

The check-in was pretty easy and had detailed instructions. The room is well equipped, the bed was comfortable for one person, the shower was hot. The location was ideal for me as I mainly stayed there to go to a concert at History which is like a 15 min walk, however I have not used the public transportation so not sure how easy would it be, by car it was a bit far from downtown. I think it would be nice in summer given the proximity to the beach.

When returning in the dark it would be good to have a motion light in the access area as I could have tripped in the dark-I was able to use my phone flashlight so no big deal . A suggestion for spare batteries as the main TV remote battery I felt was going to die soon had to be very close to Tv for it work -again just a minor suggestion.

I loved it here. Owner communicated very clearly and promptly with checking in instructions. Every detail and convenience was thought of . The bed was very comfortable , with a choice of 3 different types of pillows. Wish I could have stayed longer . As a single traveller it felt very secure and a safe location . Easy access to downtown Toronto too.

The narrow alleyway and steps down to the room are a little off-putting, especially as it was getting dark when I arrived. There is a step down into the bathroom, which I felt should be signposted - The kettle and toaster can't be used at the same time as a fuse will blow - a wee bit on the basic side, but as I was only there for one night, I didn't mind.

The cleanliness and comfort of the bed The owner, Consuelo, promptly responded to my queries. The proximity to Lake Ontario (10 mins away) - it's a great area - I had a swim in Lake Ontario. The owner kindly allowed me to use her shower after checkout, which I really appreciated.

The apartment above was sometimes a bit noisy. It was told beforehand in the suite information that there might be some noise so it wasn't unexpected but still a bit louder. However, we were mostly elsewhere during the days and in the nights there were silent so it didn't bother us too much.

The suite is very comfortable and spacious enough for two persons. It's easy to travel to the city centre by a streetcar and the environment is nice (located near the beach). The small kichenette is great. The host was very friendly. We really enjoyed our time there.

neighbourhood is called The Beaches, and you are literally in the most beautiful sector of the city. a 5 min walk away from lac ontario were everybody can walk or bike along a stunning boardwalk for many KM/miles.

Most of all we've appreciated the location: 2 minutes on foot from the lake, it has a small pictoresque garden as well. The apartment was clean and comfortable and the host was very kind and gave us suggestions to enjoy our stay there. Here you can feel like home!

Consuelo was a magnificent host. And the property was superb. It felt cozy, like a home away from home. Also, the location was excellent, close to bars, good food spots, and the beach. We couldn't have asked for more. Also, extremely clean.

It was cold when I stayed, but I was able to sleep warmly thanks to the comfortable bedding. The neighborhood was quiet and comfortable, and there were many delicious restaurants nearby. Also, I left the dental retainer in the bathroom and returned home, but the kind host helped me get it back. Thank you so much.

The temperature wasn’t changeable, or we didn‘t know how to change it, but at night it was getting really hot in there. There is no kitchen only a Kitchenette.

The apartment was clean, there were a few products in the bathroom to use. When we had a small problem the host came almost imidiat. The directions to the Apartment were good.

Location needs more external lighting! I arrived in the evening and had to use a flashlight to find my way down the alley to the suite. In the dark, I surely would have tripped / fallen over garden hoses + final step down at the end.

Great location, minutes away from streetcar and bus. Suite was quiet at night. Comfortable, secure.

Consuelo, mille grazie! This was one of my favorite places to stay. Wonderful location and a fantastic value for the price. I will definitely stay there again, if possible, and I highly recommend. The room was clean and the futon was very firm and comfortable. I felt very safe there and the area is beautiful! I actually might see if they are available again soon. I live right on the border in NY and I love to spend the night in Toronto for concerts. If I could master the parking, I'd go to this location over many others. Although I didn't personally need to meet Consuelo, she was a wonderfully communicative host and a pleasure to chat with. Five out of five for me! :) Thanks again.

The bed was not the most comfortable, it was so difficult to sit on the bed as you would just sink into it. I was advised on the information prior to arrival to expect some noise between 6-8pm which was understandable as the room is below their dining area, however the noise was also in the early hours of the morning which at times woke us up and unfortunately the noise does sound quite loud in the room. The shower was good however it is very difficult as there is no shower caddy to put anything in which means it all has to go on the floor of the shower which is already quite small, especially difficult trying to wash long hair in the space available. The parking situation was another thing that wasn't great as you could park outside the residence until midnight but wouldn't be able to leave it there overnight and this meant having to move it every morning at 7am. We were given recommendations as where to park and also able to apply for a residence permit but for the daily prices it didn't make sense. It is still a good accommodation and I think with some improvements it could be great; especially the mattress and the bathroom.

I enjoyed the location of the property and the room was well designed. The information provided by the host was detailed and very informative. Easy to get into the property with the door code which made check in very smooth.

Excellent location right by Kew Gardens and the eponymous Beaches recreational area. It was late Winter but still lots of activity.

The noise from upstairs was terrible. The first night it went on until after 2130 and the last night it was after 2233 hours. There was no regard for us that were underneath them. There was furniture moving, laughing, banging and they were talking that loud we could here the conversation they were having.

It is well situated on a nice quiet street close to the beach as well as Queen St E. Parking wasn’t a problem. Great place to stay we were very comfortable.
