Convenient location for people on Le P'tit Train du Nord bike path. Clean and comfortable.

The inn is rather remote (not biking or riding distance to a restaurant), so we got our dinner at a near-by convenience store. That was OK for a one night stay, but the meal choices were limited. We were disappointed that there was no TV in the room (as it was a rainy day and we'd made a long bike ride), and that we were not permitted to watch the TV in the common space.

The breakfast was great, and the hosts were friendly. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. It was a very convenient stop on our rails to trails bike ride.

The room was small and smelled of chemical and right next to the highway so to get the smell tolerable we had to open the window and it was hard to sleep due to the noise. The information given at arrival was fast and not too helpful for all of the numbers for the door locks we had to know to open. One number would be best and not all people can read English nor French so to give one a paper with the directions on it isn’t helpful.

The location was nice. The breakfast was good.

Very limited amount of breakfast was provided. We had to split the hard boiled egg. Also, there was no soap in the room on the sink. There were other people's hairs on the floor and bed. Towels smelled unfresh, although they were probably washed.

Location was great. It was well maintained and quaint. Staff were friendly and attentive.

It was hard to deal with the shower faucet. The hotel is very close to the road and a bit of the noise could be listen.

The breakfast is delicious, specially the blend with banana and red fruits.

Breakfast was good. Nice fresh berries with the yoghurt and the. Real maple syrup with the waffles was delicious. The waffles were store bought and very sweet. The bed was comfortable and the place was spotless.

No dislikes or issues but guests should understand that this is quite an ancient building. There are no facilities to speak of.

This is a quaint historic inn located immediately beside the Petit Train de Nord hiking/biking trail. We were hiking and it were quite pleased with our stay. We also received an email from the inn prior to our arrival about a fondue dinner which we book and enjoyed after a long day of hiking. This is a perfect place to stay if hiking or biking on the PTDN.

Upon arrival we were given a choice of a room without a private shower or toilet, or a very small room with shower and toilet but with old and uncomfortable furniture on a busy and noisy highway. We chose the latter, obviously, since we had paid for an expensive room and expected at least a private shower and toilet! Fortunately, at night the noise died down. But worst of all was the lack of cleanliness. It was obvious that the room had not been vacuumed, with long black hairs from a previous person(s) all over the bathroom and bedroom floors! The owners should also ensure that cans of soggy cigarette butts not be left on the porch area. We accidentally knocked one over and had to clean it up. The breakfast included in the room was skippable, and we did. For $146 Canadian dollars it was definitely not value for money. Compared with other rooms in Canada we stayed in on this trip, it was really a gouge.

The staff was polite and friendly and allowed us to use the common area on the first floor, and we were able to make coffee. There was a garage/shed area for bikes.

Owner not very accommodating. When told them I had been confirmed for a double bed and a queen size bed and I ended up with a double and bunk bed I was told "sorry we're sold out" Nothing we can do. Also continental breakfast was minimal. Cereal was stale, fruit not fresh

The house was charming in its decor, beds were confortable even though they were not what I had booked. Coffee was good and plentiful. Excellent location next to Bike trail.

The breakfast was very good although I probably could’ve had more as a hungry cyclist. However, I didn’t ask so that is on me. Although the location is good, it was hard to find on gps, if you are a cyclist, do not go further than 33 km on the trail. It is literally right there. The location is right beside a busy highway so it can be a bit noisy. None of these things are actually enough for me not to stay here again. I thought it was great, just info for others.

The hotel was close to the bicycle trail, which was very handy. The room was very nice and having a private bathroom was great.I did not get the meal offered at the hotel but I did buy some food from the Depanneur next store. That was very convenient. The patio was very nice to hang out on. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They stored my bike for me and gave me excellent directions once I called them after getting lost.

The property had recently changed hands and the photos and description of the dining room and food did not match the current situation. We had booked this hotel with the expectation of an exceptional cooked breakfast which had rave reviews on line but the reality was we didn't see any staff the following morning and helped ourselves to some cold croissants and made ourselves a cup of tea. Our bedroom was tired and needed a refresh.

Owner was very friendly on arrival and as there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room let us use the kettle in the breakfast room which was good.
