There wasn't anything I didn't like. But since they are renters, they should have a portable ABM machine in case customers don't have the cash to pay. Fortunately, I had the cash, but I only got lucky. Anyway, other than that, the stay went well.

Everything was fine. The hosts were great and everything. The place was nice and cozy, although a bit on the cool side. When I asked the hosts to warm up my room, they did so immediately. That was nice of them. It was a quiet and comfortable stay.

There were hairs in the shower and on the bed linens. Linens smelled freshly laundered though, so I just shook the hairs off. This is a basement apartment, and you can hear people walking above you until 11 pm, and again around 6 am. The heating was set to high when I arrived, and when I asked if it could be turned down, it was switched off completely, so it was pretty cold in the morning. Contrary to the room description, there is no bathtub, and a towel was provided only upon request. There is no dining area but a desk.

The space is nicely furnished, and the bed was comfortable on one side. The toilet and sink were clean. There was just enough toilet paper for a one-night stay. Parking was on the double driveway in front of the house.

Did not expect to be placed in the basement. Shower door did not have a handle in the inside, no mirror in the bathroom. Bed comfy, but one side was lower that the other. Getting to the location required GPS, the design of the subdivision is a maze.

3 adults reserved 3 rooms at the Aiden Mansion (367 Ridgeview Court London, ON) on April 10-11, 2024 through booking.com. It was not a good experience for multiple reasons: 1. 2 hours prior to arrival we were emailed that our third room is no longer available despite  reservation AND payment. No refund permitted as there were still 3 adults to accomodate but no bed for the third person who paid for one. 2. Upon arrival at 6pm (check in starts at 3pm) we were told to wait outside for 2 minutes. It took 20 minutes for the host to let us in for unknown reasons while we waited outside in the rain. 3. It was not disclosed that the accommodations were shared.There is a family that resides in the house with children and multiple people coming and going. You have to walk into the hosts living room to access/exit the basement. And the second bedroom was located on the second floor such that one has to come up from the basement, through the hosts house and to their private upstairs to gain access to the bedroom (which is amongst the hosts' bedrooms). 4. Essentials as described and depicted were not available. We had to bother the host in her living room on multiple occassions for items such as linens/blankets/pillows for the third person (despite no bed or couch to sleep on), no kettle/cups/spoons/dishes, no hand towel in kitchen or bathroom, no garbage bag or papertowels, no tv hookups (no ethernet cables or anything so the old tv was useless), no hot tub/jacuzzi... the place was barren. 5. There was a lack of cleanliness (ie. stains on floor and towels that we did finally receive) with old decrepit furniture (ie. missing springs in a mattress that sucks you into a gap). There were random items stored in a disheveled manner throughout the basement (ie. suitcases, vacuums, boxes, old empty freezers, etc). 6. There were any people going in/out of the house (is it a dorm house?

Nothing good about it! We felt unsafe, awkward, unwelcome and taken advantage of. Thus, we decided to abort our trip and return home very dissatisfied and out by $300. I do not recommend this booking ever and furthermore, believe it should be removed as it is fraudulent and deceptive. Read all reviews before booking!!!!

No duvet on the bed, only a small blanket so I was cold during the night. Light flickering so kept it off. Didn’t feel comfortable that it wasn’t in a more private space. Originally thought it would be a top floor with access to your own room, toilet and living area. I didn’t have access to that. Just one room, but I felt that it hadn’t been checked prior, as basic things that should have worked or been there, weren’t.

Very noisy at all hours, ignorant when I wanted to change check out date. Wouldn’t respond. Children in the property! Why would you with strangers coming in. I wouldn’t recommend staying here at all. I’m pretty sure they rent and sublet!

House was very noisy, not suitable for students, unless you are away for most of the day. Sounds start as early as 4 AM.Dryer was not working and there was no sign of it. I put my clothes for wash and had hard time drying them. Room is very small with no attached bathroom as shown in the website.Bathroom did not had any mats. I would not consider it again.

Neighbourhood and host were okay, but is not close to any coffee shops or grocery stores. Bus stop is 10 minutes away.

I wasn’t aware that the place I was paying for it was in a home in a basement meet up as a rental place. The bed was very uncomfortable, felt like it was an old mattress and the air deodorizer was awful. Had the smell that just caused a headache all night

The listing mis-represents the room. There was no private bathroom. The room was hot with open window. No air conditioning, no tv, or sitting area in room. A stranger came out of the hallway bathroom which was supposedly my private bathroom. Got a room key but no key to house front door so if I went out to dinner no guarantee I would get back in. Bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. I was not sure if the worn sheets were clean (bits of black on them). Throughout the house there was a sickly sweet odour of an odour-masking chemical. Narrow steep stairs to second floor bedroom. A medium size house in a subdivision. When I saw the room and that it did not provide a private bathroom (as someone else was using it) I said I could not stay there and hoped I would receive a refund of my money. The man on site who showed me to my room said I had to contact “Owner” through booking.com messaging. I contacted the “Owner” through booking.com messaging but did not get any replies. I did not stay . Later, the “Owner” refused to refund my money. Don’t know how they got a rating of 8. Better to book a similar priced budget Motel with a real rating of 7. Booking.com does not warranty the services/accommodations. Customer service communicated with “Owner” but have no power to give refunds. Using booking.com makes it easy to book but then it is up to the accommodation to resolve problems and this place kept my money.
