Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

CanadaThe gym still really needs a set of 20lb dumbbells.
The Alt is our number 1 choice of place to stay when in Montreal. The staff is always efficient and friendly, and the rooms are super clean. Although Griffintown has grown quite a bit since the first time we came in 2016 or so, the area is still pretty quiet and safe at night. It’s also close to various restaurants and stores of varying budgets, so that’s great too. I was so pleased to see that our room had a mini-fridge!

SwitzerlandThe room was a little dusty and could have been cleaner upon arrival. A small refrigerator might have also been nice. At one point, an alarm clock in a neighboring room went off loudly for almost an hour, and I had to contact the front desk to have it silenced.
The staff were quite kind, and I slept well each night. The views from the room were pretty incredible as well. And the restaurants attached to the hotel were quite good. Overall, this was a pretty decent stay in a well-located hotel.

United StatesMinimal common areas that were not very attractive and the beautiful outdoor terrace on the 7th floor always seemed to be locked. Room did not have as fresh a smell as we would have liked.
Hotel is a good value hotel with a nice room. Bed was very comfortable. Shower was good as well. Location is fantastic in a very trendy neighborhood.

United Kingdomwe asked for a view and were looking out to private apartments so had to have the blinds shut. coffee station was lovely touch, but could have had more coffee pods (only given 2 per day) and a hot water facility for tea as an alternative choice would have been nice. bit unfair to charge you $1.40 for a tea in the lobby.

CanadaHaving a more casual restaurant in the hotel would have been nice. Access to ice machines (we used a lot of ice as it was SO hot during our stay) would be a good thing. More cafés in the immediate vicinity (something other than Tim’s or McD’s) would have been a nice experience.
Location was great - easy to get to the waterfront, old Montreal and even Rue Ste. Catherine for shopping. Not too far from the train station so that was convenient as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful in navigating the area.

CanadaI would have liked the room to have been cleaned and arranged before 2pm on Saturday. We had returned from an excursion and the room was still not cleaned. I had to call the front desk to have someone send over clean towels.
From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I felt the great vibe of the hotel and the staff was very pleasant. The location was superb as it was across the street from a grocery store and only a 20 minute walk to St. Catherine St. I felt very safe and the room was super cozy and the bed was extremely comfortable! Shout out to Angelique who went above and beyond assisting me and her friendly smile was very much appreciated. She definitely stood out as having exemplary attention to me and my son.
