I did not like the feeling that I am paying for many "extras" in a room. I wish I could get a room. while I'm on the road, that is real basic ... A bed, a shower and less than 4 pillows on my bed.

I booked this place for 6 nights as I had to work long hours and needed an affordable and comfy place to be to sleep between shifts at work. On day 2, I took a shower, and while I was in there, I noticed the water wasn't draining. I thought it was odd and gross, so I immediately got out (I was only in there for about 3 minutes). Once I stepped out, I realized the floor was a bit flooded (and when I say a bit flooded, I mean about 2 inches of water but only on the end of the bathroom where the toilet/shower was. I immediately grabbed any towel I could find (the host only left us 2 towels for the entire 6 nights, which is gross for 2 people. Did he expect us to reuse those for 6 days??). I used the bath mat to try to soak up some water. It all smelled like sewage. My clothes that I tossed on the floor before showering were soaking wet with smelly water, and there's no laundry services available. I tried to contact the host, but he didn't answer the phone or his messages. I had to go to the washroom so I used the toilet but when I flushed, black bits and water came up from the shower drain and then water came pouring out the back of the toilet (I think from the base near the wall, around there). I tried contacting the host again to no avail. I had to get to work, so I left around 10:30 a.m., but I told him I wouldn't be back until midnight, which I figured gave him plenty of time to sneak in there and fix the problem. Around 4 pm, I finally get a call from him.. he immediately asked if I flushed feminine products down the toilet, which was offensive to assume I would do that. Not anyone's business, but I didn't even have those things with me as they weren't needed for my trip. I told him absolutely not, and it flooded from the shower, not even the toilet at first. He said he'd try to get a plumber in there, and maybe i could try plunging when i got back to the house.

This place is in a very cute location, and it was very easy to check in. It's bigger than it looks online, and overall, it was cozy.

The hotel manager in training was really rude to us!!! I asked someone to fix our AC as it is not blowing air, the hotel front desk offered me another room to transfer as there's no one available to check on it. I got the new room and asked if we can leave our stuffs in our old room as we are really tired to transfer our stuffs from very long travel. Shortly after 11pm he started by banging on our room door really hard and being so aggressive at middle of the night and accused us of being a liar. With a very loud voice in front of our door. He humiliated us and treat us disrespectfully. He wants to call the police and let us kick out in the middle of the night without hearing us first. He treated us really bad bad by yelling and swearing to us without validating or confirming what really happened. I am a frequent traveller and work in the hotel industry and I know how to deal the customer right. He is definitely not be in a customer service as he don't know how to give some respect and did not even let us speak on our behalf. He ruins our night. He really did not care to the customers and wants to charge my credit card another room fee without having my consent. Too bad that the hotel has this type of staff who totally ruins the reputation of the hotel. He repeatedly told me that he doesn't care about the customers and he just work there to follow the boss instructed him to do. He points to finger to us and say the F word repeatedly!!! He is really a sexist thinking that I am a female whom he can just easily picked on. I am so disappointed on his behaviour. I have a kid with me who constantly hear him swearing to us. How can a manger in training pass an interview with this type of attitude. I waited for the following day to speak to the owner directly as I cannot just let it go without having a resolution on this issue. He offered me discount for my stay but I specifically told him that I am not looking after for a discount or Anything free.

The breakfast host is polite and gave us a good service.

They did not mention the fact that they had a live band playing that Thursday night - certainly not when we checked in. The noise was very loud, as you can imagine and it certainly seemed that our room with right above the band. Things got quiet around midnight. Had we known about this we would not have stayed.

The room was basic but comfortable. Breakfast was a full breakfast and good.

No soap of any kind in the washroom or tub. Toilet was difficult to flush. Sheets had hair on them Bad sewer smell in the hotel in general I stay in hotels often around winnipeg. That rate is fair for a nice room. This was not a fair rate for what was provided at all.

Front desk staff was non-engaging and it seemed I was an inconvenience to him as I interrupted him playing on his phone. Rather rude overall. Room did not smell very good. Exhaust fan in bathroom was caked in dirt and dust and ceiling had what appeared to be blood droplet stains on it. As it was 2 night stay, only thing done was my bed was made and a new coffee pack, without creamers or sugar, was left. Nothing was cleaned…no towels replaced or even a new bar of soap. Didn’t even take used coffee pack out of coffee maker. Toilet was not clean. I have stayed here a number of times before and it appears to be under new ownership. It has gone severely down hill. P.S. Might have better luck with the homeless encampment right beside the hotel on the river bank. At least the people from the encampment who are constantly wandering through the parking lot seem friendly.

Location was where I needed to be. Easy parking for my vehicle and the trailer I was towing.

Only thing I had an issue with during my stay was the coffee machine in the room leaked terribly. I did make staff aware when leaving as didn't really effect me too much but is something that they may want to resolve for the next guest.

On arrival there was a slight issue as I don't use a credit card and had got to the hotel rather earlier than expected. The staff were great, really welcoming and reassuring, and the issue was sorted out within about 15 minutes. Stayed for a few days and was basic but very pleasant. I didn't realise that I was ariving in the midst of the first heatwave of the year but don't worry, the rooms are sufficiently air conditioned if you do the same thing. Breakfast was simple but tasty with lovely service and ample coffee. Bed was extremely comfortable and room smelt clean and fresh. Nice stoop outside the motel to sit on in the morning and watch the sun come up over Bruce Park. Staff always on hand to help and answer any questions.

all ws good....I had a hard time with the stairs...problems with my legs....

Excellent free breakfast and excellent service...friendly regular customers chatted across tables and with some of us newer guests....kinda like the CHEERS bars...loved the atmosphere! This is an older place, but I don't need fancy, just an affordable plce to sleep. Lots of free parking, there are cameras monitoring the area and hallways, I felt safe.

The room needs major upgrading. Popcorn ceilings have to go, new curtains are required as is new carpeting. Room was very dark. Also had no way to control heat or cooling in the room.

the staff arr not friendly, they made us wait to be checked in, there's 3 of them and they are not even doing anything they just made us wait, we are the only customer that time, they didnt even provided us details of our reservation like what is included etc. They also do not communicate very well. The bathroom faucet is not working, it drips and the toilet was not cleaned properly.

Could hear the band in the bar until late at night, Noise from the band was replaced by some insanely loud whirring noise by 2 AM. The room was insanely hot and there was no way to adjust heat, The property is extremely dated. I think I slept an hour or two the whole night,

We have stayed there many times, usually in the hotel itself! We stayed in the #24 in the outside hotel building! The room was clean, bed was comfy, great shower! The breakfast was part of our stay and is was very good!

The location is sketchy, the room walls are very thin, and we can hear the other room's noise the whole time. Someone parked in front of the room and did some nasty stuff.
