There was nothing lacking at all. We had everything we needed.

We didn’t have breakfast there, but it looked lovely. Our room was spotless! The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the view over the river. The wifi was good. We were travelling from Ottawa to Halifax and stopped for a funeral in Tatamagouche. The location was perfect, and the man I spoke with on the phone was very accommodating with our late check in. We would definitely recommend this Motel and would gladly stay there again.

Locks on the door. Extremely difficult to negotiate in lieu of not being locked out or getting the door open when leaving. I had to miss my evening activity in the village as the door lock was unreliable. Had I got locked out no one would of been on staff to help me sort it out. Plus my dog would have been locked in. Please fix the locks. Hand grip bars in the bathroom around and inside the tub and the toilet area should be installed for accessibility to all. I could not shower as I could not use the shower facility as there was nothing to hold onto. The step into the room and stepping out to leave the room needs to be accessibility friendly. This presented problems to me when leaving the room and trying to get back in. Once again hand grip bars also need to be made available. There is money, grants available to businesses in NS to have this work done. It would be greatly appreciated.

There are a lot of mosquitos due to being right on the river but the owner was able to help me find somewhere to get mosquito repellant which I really appreciated.

The view from my room at Balmoral was exceptional. The staff are very friendly and made me feel comfortable as a solo female traveller.

An older hotel but it was clean . The staff were pleasant to talk to. The prices was good at 97 plus tax . It is close to Tatmachouce town. 0.4 km to be exact. Grocery store directly across the street.

The parking lot would be better if paved because it was raining and muddy. For the price I would have expected a complimentary breakfast. That way they would compete with B&Bs.

It was close to the Grace Theatre. The desk staff were friendly and informative. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. .

This motel is an absolute gem. Tucked along the riverbank, it offers a serene escape with an unbeatable view. Can't think of a single thing that I would change. It was great.

They have clearly spent time and money updating and modernizing this motel. Opened the door and actually gasped. Was not expecting to see new bedding, couch, table with chairs etc. Wish this had been the motel we stayed at 2 nights instead of only 1! If we are every nearby again we will definitely stay here again, and would recommend this motel to ANYONE! Staff friendly and handy.

Very friendly & helpful front desk staff. We had no problem with check in at all. Room was clean and comfortable. It was a nice walk to downtown where we found the people friendly and the food good. Will definitely stay here again.

Area not mowed down to water so only had a sliver of river view. It’s possible that is not owned by owners of inn but it would have been soooo wonderfully calming to have a better view of the water to see from the humungous windows that we had in the Junior Suite. Noise thru door adjoining Kitchen or servery? Loads of spiders outside on windows. If you love that part of nature it won’t shock you.

LARGE mowed area behind the motel. Very pet friendly. Quiet. Free tea and keurig coffee in small room between front doors. John at desk welcoming and friendly. Called as we were traveling to Tatamagouche to check on arrival. We were ok with directions with our map app. Checked into Junior Suite which is around the back of the checkin/office. Awesome windows in both dining/sitting area and main bedroom. I’d choose the Junior suite again as it is elevated (approx five steps up?) so higher view. Two separate bedrooms. We shut door to room with two singles and took queen bed with the view!

The Staff friendly and helpful. The Room was clean. It also had a microwave and fridge. Bonus was the little coffee room which also had toasters. We were only staying a night and in the morning we were able to make some food Motel was directly across from a grocery store
