The only thing was the bed we had was a bit stiff. Other than that it was wonderful

Friendly proprietor Robert was an unexpected bonus. The view of the beach, ocean, and Confederation Bridge was amazing! The price was very reasonable for this 1950s' retro cottage-by-the-beach.

Amazing location, very easy to get to Victoria, Cavendish and Charlottetown, though you don't need to leave as you have everything you need to relax and enjoy right there. Check-in was super easy.

Third stay at Blue Spruces. The location is great, about 26 km from the Confederation Bridge. Cottages are well spaced, comfortable and clean.

We liked everything

This is a long-standing property that has been completely refurbished and upgraded over the past five years. There is a wide selection of cottage options - we were in the standard 2-bedroom which was exceptionally clean and had all the necessary ammenities and included some extras such as instant and sustained hot water for showers, Roku TV and very good internet service. While the cottage is basic in layout and space,, it was clean, comfortable and certainly met all our needs. The property is sitting on the edge of the ocean on the south shore of PEI... a fantastic view from every cottage. The owner, Rob, was super friendly and extremely helpful ... he stays on site so is constantly there if ever a question or issue should arise. The location is also very good... an easy drive from the ferry and Charlottetown.

It was really old and worn. There were dirty dishes put away and things just thrown in drawers and cupboards. The top of the fridge (I’m tall) was grimy. It was just terrible even for the price. I would have stayed in a hotel for the same price and it would have been cleaner. The beds were uncomfortable, the pillows flat, no screen door so cabin was full of flies. Only one fan in the cabin and it was very hot on some days. Wifi was also not good or the TV reception. They could use to make some investment in the cabin (and not oversell what they’ve done (ie/volleyball net). Some basic things would really help but it seems to me they are just maximizing revenue until they fall down.

It was fairly quiet although on the last day they had mowers around for hours mowing the grass. Can’t imagine there’s a good time to do that but they were loud. They had a focus on recycling and a compost bin. Rooms had dark curtains. Location near tidal zone; beach and sunsets were nice - kids liked that aspect.

Loved the location and access to the beach! Easy to get to Summerside Charlottetown and Cavendish. Really enjoyed the free use of laundry facilities and signing out lawn games as well as the choice between multiple fire pits staggered along the shore where you can view the most beautiful sunsets! Dry Fire wood available on-site for a reasonable price.
