After reading some of the other comments I decided to add my two cents. This seems to be a love it or hate it location. I, and my family, loved it. It was just a fantastic place filled with all kinds of memorabilia even a couple of collector motorcycles in the halls. The breakfast was great, egg soufflé with pancakes and smoked back bacon plus hot coffee. If you are looking for a place to stay with a great host, central location, really good food, clean comfortable rooms and a unique living experience then Bulwinkles is your place. I highly recommend it and I know we will stay again as will my brother and his wife.

The home and property could be very grand. It could use some sprucing up such as outside paint and grass cutting, interior wall paper upgrades, etc. However, none of these things impacted our stay and I would go again if needing accomodation in Souris.

Brady made a delicious hot breakfast servied right on time. He was a gracious and accomodating host. The location is right in Souris and very convenient and here are numerous room choices, each one different and interesting.

The place definitely needs cleaning. But it became clear to me why after I realized that this place is maintained by a man alone. There is an idea, there is a style, a spirit, you can see the love for the place, but there is no female hand to tidy up the place. A bachelor pad.

Very quiet place, no people anywhere at all. Close to the ferry. The house is historical, not reconstructed. Authentic furniture and interior.

Brady was a warm host who served an ample, delicious hot breakfast each morning! He was very helpful, carrying our bags upstairs and allowing us to plug in our hybrid car to an outside outlet.

The yard was in rough shape. We had to be careful not to step in dog poop.

Breakfast was good. Brady was a wonderful host. Room was nice and comfortable. Brady made the bed every morning and left cleaned towels.

Our arrival was confusing as google sent us to the neighbour's. We were then unsure if we were in correct spot as there was no clearly designated parking lot or walkway to the front entrance.

The heritage home is beautiful with very interesting and unique decor. The host is very laid back, friendly, and cooks an awesome breakfast!

It needs some TLC on the exterior, but I was thrilled to stay at this sweet old home after seeing Green Gables

We have stayed there for about two weeks. The owner has gone above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as we would ever imagine. His dog is a lovely creature ( miss you Lucy :-) ). Whenever we needed support or advice, Bradley was right there helping us with what he could. I couldn't have imagined better place to stay . The house has a pool table which on the rainy evenings becomes super handy.

We really enjoyed our stay here! the house is so interesting with so many fun things to look at in every room. The beds were super comfortable and the room was very cozy. Brady served us a phenomenal breakfast (definitely say yes when he offers it to you!) and we loved chatting with him and his sweet dog the next day. thanks for the great stay and the great conversation!

The owner had 2 large dogs. One was standing ON the kitchen table (that we were served breakfast on the next day). The other dog barked and barked. The kitchen was a greasy mess. At one point we were sworn at for moving furniture.

The place had loads of character. Old. Bedroom was clean. Breakfast tasted good.

Beautiful old house that would be out of this world but needs repair and update. Also, found lots of hair in the sink.

Close to ferry, nice location and friendly welcoming. Breakfadt was included but we had to leave early for the ferry so didn't get the chance to enjoy it. Slept well.
