Due to one way streets in an infamous city, the hotel was difficult to drive to. While parking was provided under the building, we paid a fee that added a hidden cost.

Our comfortable, Spartan room had a portable air conditioner that kept us cool. Our room was available early allowing us to escape the drenching rain. The receptionist was helpful.

There's nothing negative about this property that would discourage us from staying here again.

The location is perfect. Staying at this property ensured that our vacation would be easily walkable, which is exactly what we were looking for. The breakfast offered everything you could want in a breakfast. The staff were all friendly and very informative.

•Parking: first in and first serve in secure underground parkade; but only 9 spots and very tight; compact cars OK. Cost is $15 per day. (There is a city parkade, almost next door, for same price).

•Location: downtown Ottawa, Byward Market and walking distance to Parliament Hill. •Breakfast included: full breakfast with many choices; scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, breakfast sandwich, croissants, fruit and yogurt. Breakfast room has lots of seating and a couple of tables outside on deck. •Balcony: with city views and rooftops of parliament buildings. Also, has sun umbrella. Would definitely return and recommend a stay here. :)

First morning we were rudely awakened at 7:00 am by asphalt paving noise and it went on all day as it paved the garage. Lighting in rooms is not good since small lamps are supplied. Pillows definitly need changing. Ours were FLAT!

Enjoyed being able to walk to most everything we were interested in. Place was very clean. Breakfasts were exceptionally good. Rooms are not fancy but are comfortable.

Great location between the Parliament buildings and museums we wanted to visit. Reasonable price for our room, breakfast and secure parking. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

More plugs for electronics. Two near the bed would be nice.(No problem charging, though.) Television was a bit smal, and controls were not intuitive. Suggest instruction card and more intuitive controls. Did not have much time for TV, though.

Breakfast buffet included, with abundant good, healthy food, no waiting. Granted two extra egg and cheese on english muffin sandwiches (wrapped) which was dinner on the trip home - hard to find wrapped sandwich to go in the neighbourhood.

Nothing really. The furniture and TV are a little old, but everything was working fine.

The bed for us was a bit too soft, it might be a little old. But it wasn't a big deal.

This place was lovely-- friendly and accommodating staff, cute balcony with a table and chairs, great in-room appliances (fridge, kitchen sink, coffee maker), good bathroom with provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash (not in tiny bottles, which I definitely prefer. Much more eco-friendly!) Breakfast was nice, good vegetarian options, cold brew and hot coffees, soy and dairy creamers, both savory and sweet breakfast options, and space inside and outside to eat. Good location-- easy to get to from the metro, and lots of shops and restaurants nearby. A great place for a quick stay!

Area just a block away, Byward market has become blighted with mildly menacing non-residents.

We booked the ByWard Blue Inn at the last minute. It was a perfect accommodation for Ottawa -- close to a very trendy neighborhood but easily accessible to the main attractions. We especially appreciated the onsite parking and the in-room kitchenette.

The location is terrific. Easy to get to and within walking distance of the Market, the National Gallery, Parliament Hill etc. The breakfast is outstanding - it's all well prepared, theres' a good selection and you can eat enough to get you through practically until dinner! The rooms are comfortable - it's so nice to have real dishes, cutlery and a microwave. And the hotel doesn't feel like every other hotel. The little balconies are a bonus in the nice weather. It's really a good deal all around.
