How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Lovely place , I stayed there for 2 nights with my mother , modern and nice room, bathroom and kitchen, and although the kitchen and bathroom is shared everyone respects their space and is responsible, the location is great as there many facilities around so we didn’t spend much on transportation….

The host was very helpful and responsive to any question/ inquiry I had within an hour or two. The house was very clean and quiet. Location wise, you are close to most amenities as well as stoney trail, so you can easily get to anywhere in the city.

There seemed to have been food left behind in the kitchen (common area) by the previous guests, that was ready to be thrown out.
That the garden, interior arrangement, decoration, and the unit are new, was very pleasing. We had all the privacy we needed, with a private bathroom, and a quiet room where it was easy to oversleep.

Not much...everything was great and good. Just little far from downtown...
I was staying 10 days for temporary residence until I found a residence nearby work. Helena was very friendly and nice. The location was very quiet and safe. I was very good time at this guest house and highly recommend to my friends.

This has been one of the best places where I have stayed in Booking. Helena was amazing, super sweet and helpful; she always replied fast and kindly. The location is a big plus; the C-train station is close, and the bus drops you out just in front of the house!! it is located in a nice quiet neighborhood with beautiful parks and meadows nearby, and a convenience store just a block away. The house is very nice, cozy and she keeps it very clean; it has all the necessary appliances and a well-fitted kitchen where you can cook freely; it is the PERFECT place for extended stays. I would recommend it 100%

The room is very spacious with both a bath and a shower in the private bathroom. Great bed, and well equipped common space. Easy to park just across the road. Self check in and out very easy.

I don't often rent places that I don't have the whole place to myself. But we ended up renting one room out of 3 until our last day the other 2 were rented.
The owner was very nice, and the price was perfect, bed was comfortable. Beautiful deck in the back and front. Felt safe keeping our bikes in the back yard. Close to 24/7 stores ex; 711, burger King drive through allowed us to bike through the drive through. Lots of other great amenities close by. Had our own key to our room. Place was clean and inviting. There is someone living down stairs but you would never know it. They were super quiet and the renter was flexible and pleasant offered an early check in for a small fee.

Parking on the street was at a premium and had to park way down the street in the dark . No mirror in bedroom. Might suggest pick up set of sheets at Costco to have matching sheets (that one is not black )on the bed and comforter for bed. ? paper towels in shared bathroom so if forget to bring towels to bathroom. have something to dry hands on. No TV in bedroom so used my computer to watch the news. At 5 am dog next door was barking. Mirror in shared bathroom was in need of a clean.
I arrived late and left early so if there was a breakfast I do not about it. Reasonable value for price. House had light on at night so could find it. Looked like nice common area with a TV in it . Saw a kitchen as I left in the morning I presume could be used to a make a meal? Room clean.

The house is not exactly close to the train as you need to take a 10mn bus or 30mn walk to get to the station. The bathroom door doesn't lock.
The house is in a quiet neighbourhood. The room is big, the house was clean and there is a functional kitchen. Each room has its own lock. The host communicated ahead of time the instructions to check in.
