There were long black hairs in the bed along with other bits of fluff etc. The bed appeared to have just been made and not changed for clean sheets from the previous occupier! Very disappointing to find in a 4 star hotel and after a 9 hour flight, checking in at 11pm.

room was missing menu or qr code for room service on arrival (we asked for it and were given a paper version right away). Critically, the room wasn’t done at all during our 4 nights stay. We also asked management on day 1 to check a lamp that wasn’t working in the bedroom but was never looked at during our stay. On being told about the issue, management simply said “we’ll tell our cleaning team”. Maybe some sort of commercial gesture would have been in order? At least provide basic cleaning supplies and directions to get rid of the trash during the stay if you don’t provide the service.

Several things - lack of a complimentary breakfast. When we tried to report a room issue, we were put on hold at the front desk, and finally came down to talk in person after several minutes. While I was down at the lobby, I saw a single clerk handling a long lineup of customers. The phone rang again and a night manager answered it, putting the person on hold immediately, while doing nothing to help out. I imagine that caller was on hold for over 7 minutes as well. You have to get more staff for busy times or get your managers to help out on the front lines. While our problems were resolved, it took over an hour for someone to come up and wash out a tub that was obviously not cleaned. It took talking to a manager the next morning to get the fair compensation for the next morning.

The hotel was a nice facility. I liked the pool and spa, and the lounge in the lobby. There was a major problem, but it was taken care of to our satisfaction.

Checkin process took 45 minutes instead of promised 15 Sauna was turned off although it should have been heated and ready for use based on the staff Ventilation system (other than A/C) which could not be turned off was producing very loud low-pitch noise all night long, staff was not able to do anything with it Power outage for long time - no lights, sauna, elevator.. 1 of 2 elevators out of service + there is no staircase for normal (not emergency use) No hot water during 1 of 2 mornings that we stayed in No questions asked by staff at checkout, no compensation offered for this very substandard experience

The hotel was very disappointing. I don’t understand where they got positive reviews from. One by one: 1. The hairdryer in the room does not work. 2. There are empty shampoo bottles in the pool shower. There are no filled ones. 3. The window in the room cannot be opened, while the air conditioner blows in the face regardless of which part of the room you are in. It needs to be shifted with paper, or pillows. Just turning off the air conditioner is not an option - it's hot. 4. The hotel has two elevators and one is closed all the time. At the same time, only members of one family are allowed to use an elevator at a time. That is, if 4 people from different rooms come to the elevator, then one of them will wait a very long time for his turn, given that the same elevator is used by everyone else who travels from top to bottom. 5.The maid knocks on the door and IMMEDIATELY walks inside. This is some kind of absurdity. She saw me in my underpants, looked up and left, but hotels have certain rules and it should work a little differently, believe me.

I would just be cautious because this is labeled “airport” but it is still a 10-15min drive to the airport from this location. YYC airport has a Marriott in the terminal, which may be a better option if you’re looking for convenience.

Pillows were too small and hard. The pool area was not too clean. Hair all over.

Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Large rooms and bathrooms. Soft comfortable beds. Sitting outside on the patio was relaxing.
