The property was a wonderful find and our host Luc was very helpful and attentive. It was a great value for the money and conveniently located. We really appreciated the fresh ground coffee and everything in the suite was well organized and extremely clean. We will definitely be back - thank you Luc for an amazing weekend stay!

Luc greeted us and was extremely kind and helpful. His property is beautiful with gorgeous views of the mountains. Its situation near the highway makes it a good location to travel to places. The amenities in the accommodation are excellent warm and homely. One of the best places I've stayed.

We missed nothing, maybe a wardrobe would be a good idea. The description at booking.com also mentioned a bathtub, but it had none. We did not miss that, but the description should be corrected. The apartment has a shower.

Canadian Rockies Inn is situated right in the heart of Field, very near to a good restaurant. It´s only 15 minutes drive to Emerald lake and interesting hiking trails (like Iceline trail) can be reached from there. The owner is really very nice and he gave us many tipps what to see or where to go. There are no supermarkets in Field but we knew that beforehand and were prepared.

As other reviewers have noted, the town of Field sits alongside a railway line, and so there is some noise from trains, but it’s nothing that can’t be easily overcome with ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper, and shouldn’t be a reason to put you off from staying at this excellent property.

We spent a wonderful 4 nights here and could not have been happier with the accommodation. Luc was such a welcoming host and gave us lots of recommendations of what to see and do in the area. The accommodation was absolutely immaculate and spotlessly clean. Field is a fantastic spot to base yourself for exploring Yoho and Banff; just a short 20 minute drive from Lake Louise, and 15 minutes from Emerald Lake.

We loved the location and surroundings in Field, BC. Wonderful little village with an excellent restaurant down the street. Luc was an exceptional, responsive host who made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. We loved meeting and getting to know him.

Fields isolated location makes grocery planning a necessity. We just made sure we grabbed everything in Canmore on the drive in and it really worked out for us. Plan early for meals/food/supplies and you won't have any issues at all.

My wife and I are fairly well traveled and rarely spend time in a hotel. We almost exclusively use small owner operated rentals. Luc and his lovely place are a standout. First Luc. What a great guy. He left a nice note on the front door for where we were staying and how to get in. He apologized for not being able to be there when we arrived. When we started moving stuff in he actually appeared from out back as he was just leaving. Even though he had things to do, he stopped, talked to us about the place, the area, how to get ahold of him, and he even got us some ice. Throughout our stay we bumped into him a couple times and he always had a smile on his face and things to do ready to suggest. The room itself was the cleanest and best maintained place we have stayed. We have been in 6 month old rentals that looked horrible compared to this. Everything was spotless and well put together. There is an electric fireplace as well as an electric heater in the bathroom so you can warm the area up more before a shower. The kitchen had a kettle, coffee maker, microwave, hot plate, and large mini fridge with a freezer section big enough for a bag of ice. The water was great (just as Luc had bragged about) and there were plenty of pans, utensils, flatware, etc. The bed was an amazing foam mattress that somehow both myself and wife like even though we are on opposite sides of the squishness scale. Field is a great location. Close to Banff NP and many of the great Yoho park hikes and locations. The town is very small but we were amazed by the quality of The Truffle Pig. A great restaurant run by friendly people. If you are looking for a tourist filled area with shopping and restaurants galore this will not work for you. But if you are looking for a nice small area with extremely friendly people to unwind in after a day of hiking you cannot go wrong here. Cost wise this was comparable to other places I looked into. The difference is I left here happy I g

The suite was very well furnished; beds were comfy and everything was spotlessly clean throughout. The instant-on fireplace and bedroom heaters kept everything warm and cozy. Luc was a very friendly and helpful innkeeper and gave me local tips on how to make the best use of my time in the Yoho/Banff national parks. The town of Field is located next to railway tracks (like Banff and Canmore) so some train sound is to be expected, but with the windows closed I couldn’t hear much at all and slept like a log every night! I’d say Field is actually more convenient to Lake Louise and Moraine than Banff and certainly Canmore. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again next time I’m in the area!

Luc let us know before we arrived, but stock up on necessities before you venture into Field. This really isn't a dislike but more of notice to be prepared.

The host, Luc was great. The room was perfect in every way. Field, British Columbia is a town of 196 people with a great restaurant, The "Truffle Pig". Very quiet and relaxing. It's a short drive from Lake Louise and is located near the major attractions of the YOHO National Park. I would highly recommend staying here vs Lake Louise or Banff.
