How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

To the stores and restaurants in the inner city of banff you have to walk about 15 minutes. But the bus to the ski resort does stop in front of the hotel. You could take the public bus.

Location slightly further from centre of town, especaiily when temp below -15C in evenings and icy pavements but local bus stop closeby

The breakfasts weren’t the best but had a couple of options. Was a bit further away from downtown and shops.
The beds were really comfy, room was nicely decorated , staff very friendly and accommodating! The hot tubs and sauna were very nice after a day out!

Beautiful hotel with a cosy decor inside. Room was massive with a super comfy bed. Breakfast was good. Shuttle bus service to the ski slopes stops right outside, which is really handy. Daily smores at 4pm was a nice touch. Underground parking.

The lighting in our room was not great. It would be nice to have the option for one brighter overhead light in the main area of the room.
The staff were exceptional. Each team member was friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. The complimentary breakfast was great and had enough options for each morning of our stay.

Loved our stay here! Friendly staff and fellow travelers! Great value. Great location. Affordable, heated underground parking. Loved the outdoor hot tubs and cold plunge. Kids loved the free daily smores.

The property was great. I liked the shuttle service and all the staff were exceptional. Every staff member I met was friendly and wanted to help.
The property was just as described. The best were comfortable. The mini fridge was large enough for our items and the complimentary breakfast was decent.

It’s got a young vibe - lots of young folks hanging around the hot tubs drinking - with music going on into the evening. Our room (we requested a quiet room) was over the central courtyard and was noisy until 11pm
Accommodation is comfortable, well presented and the breakfast is sufficient / good - some warm stuff and usual breads etc. location was a bit of a walk to town but at least it’s at the top of the town.

Bathtub drain in room 318 was clogged, resulting in a very slow water drain.
Very nice building and decor. Room was spacious and comfortable. Lots of free amenities - sauna and hot tub were great (but hot tub was often crowded, not a big deal). Breakfast was delicious but the provided coffee was very weak and watery - I preferred to drink coffee made in the room with Nespresso machine. Nice / friendly staff.
