If I were to point out an area for improvement, it would be the limited coffee selection. A medium roast option would be a welcome addition to the existing decaf and dark roast.

Situated on the scenic outskirts of Banff, Hotel Canoe & Suites, despite its ongoing construction, provided a delightful stay without compromising our comfort. The absence of completed hot tubs and some minor issues in building C, like the non-functional room phones, were mere footnotes to an otherwise splendid experience. The staff’s commitment to eco-friendliness through their ‘non-waste’ service policy was commendable, ensuring that amenities like coffee and tea weren’t just single-use but could be ordered as needed from the front desk. The hotel’s pricing was perfectly aligned with our expectations for a serene getaway. The inclusion of bus passes was a thoughtful touch, allowing us to explore without moving our car. A special mention goes to the cleaning staff, whose playful arrangement of my son’s stuffed animal, ‘hippo’, all snuggled in bed waiting for our son to return brought joy when we returned. We’re already considering a return visit, especially to indulge in the hot tubs once they’re ready!

The hotel was very comfortable and clean. We loved the decor of our room and whole hotel. The staff were exceptional. The view from our room was beautiful. The food at the restaurant was so good and the service was quick! The coffee and tea choices and delivery was so unique, loved the whole idea! The transit passes for the bus were very appreciated. We wish we could have stayed longer.

We were three families staying in three rooms near each other with mountain views. The view from the room was great, the rooms were exceptionally clean and well designed and decorated. The room sizes were generous and great for a family stay. The breakfast in the hotel was also great. Everything about this hotel was so relaxing and great and positive. Definitely would love to stay here again when we visit Banff for the next time. I hope they will keep the quality and service and great attitude as great as our experience this time.

Everything about this hotel is amazing. I was just expecting a regular 3 star hotel but consider it more like a 5 star. The staff are amazing and super helpful and attentive. The room is one of the few rooms I've ever been in that seems like someone has really thought through its design for an actual family whereas most other hotels are designed for a couple or single person in terms of space and practicality, for example there is a shelf in the bathroom to put your toiletries on so when your kids use the bathroom and get water everywhere you toiletries stay dry. Heated basement car park is also great so no need to deice car in the morning.

The lift in our building gave us some minor heart attacks when it kept on opening and not going down 🤣 (x2).

This is a new hotel that has well thought out interior. Parking wasn’t a problem as there was adequate space. The mountain view especially in the morning made our stay worth it. The staff were very accomodating.

So new that some things were not working. Noticed construction equipment even. No included breakfast. For the price range, I feel this property can do better. I also found it odd that I got a confirmation call “to make sure” we were coming, while we were finishing dinner. I understand calling if it’s late and no check-in, but we barely had time to drive into town and eat. Don’t understand the point of such a persistent call, if I already had a confirmation on this app.

Was woken by train horns multiple times in the night. Would recommend bringing ear plugs or a sound machine if you are a light sleeper.

Lovely coffee in the morning, clean and beautiful rooms, mountainview. Staff were helpful and friendly. Complimentary bus tickets. Great location. Lots of free parking available.

The pool hasn't opened yet, so basically we do not have any activities in the hotel. The hotel is far from the downtown, but this is something that we knew before we booked the hotel.

We like to design of the room, bath room, kitchenette, and the amenities. Slick, clean, and modern. We enjoyed the morning drip coffee, the bed and pillows, plenty of towels, covered parking. The bus stop is in front of the hotel.

I rated the hotel an 8/10 at this moment, I can see it as a 9/10 when construction has finished (with pool availabilities etc..). But be aware at this moment construction is still ongoing. I must admit that the rooms that are now in use, probably have no (or almost no) noice disturbance anymore from the construction. I like my coffee, and I do not mind the effort, but I can imagine that many guests will be a little put off with the slow-drip " do it yourself" filter coffee in the room. For me it was particularly the effort to pre-order the free coffee for the next day or run by the lobby to get extra filters.

Beautiful new accommodation 10-15 minute walk from Banff center. At this moment a part of the hotel is still under construction! The lobby and rooms are clean, and very comfortable. The rooms are well equipped. Excellent shower. A big plus is the hotel restaurant: Sudden Sally with excellent breakfast/lunch options, we also had a really tasteful dinner at this restaurant; so I recommend this place for food and drinks! Good and dry parking options underneath the hotel. I liked the walk to Banff center, the hotel also offered a free bus pass (bus stop in front of hotel) that takes you into Banff town.

The hotel is under construction. Unfortunately the hot pools were not open (advertised), but the guest laundry was also not complete (not advertised). I would have had to walk 4 hotels down the street, carrying our family's laundry, to use a nearby facility. I ended up using a local fluff and fold service for a significant cost.

Absolutely pristine, brand new hotel! Comfy beds. Wonderful morning coffee--pour over style (it comes with instructions!), hot chocolate and tea available as well. Deck with mountain view was absolutely spectacular!

Staff is still trying to get things organized as this is a new hotel, e.g. time needed for cleaning, refill coffee (a sheet was provided to order coffee during room services, but we had no pen), food order at the restaurant, and hotel discount at the restaurant.

This per friendly hotel had underground parking space that was easy to get the dog and also the baby in and out of the car.
