How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The property is really close to metrotown and the rooms are simple and clean! Our room got a lot of sunlight so it was super bright! Really cool views as well! Easy access.

The room was clean, very comfortable, and the staff was very helpful. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel. We will visit on summer.

There did not seem to be a kettle in the room but I was able to use the microwave instead so this was a minor issue only.
The lady in Reception was exceptionally helpful and friendly and I was impressed by her kindness. The room we stayed in was a good size and very comfortable.

Great place to stay! Clean, great location and great customer service. Very easy to check in, and the lady at the counter was so sweet! Highly recommended!!! My boyfriend and I had a great experience overall.

Overall, our stay at Cassandra was exceptional. The combination of outstanding service provided by the courteous front desk staff, coupled with the hotel's ideal location near the event venue, made it a truly memorable experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vancouver and looking for a comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable stay. Pin code access is a plus! No losing of keycards!

The hotel was great! They helped us a lot when we arrived late. The service was excellent and the staff was very helpful. She even had free snacks offered to us. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed were comfortable. The location was convenient. It was close to were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the area.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and professional. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had a good shower. The location was convenient and there were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The price was very reasonable. Actually because most hotels I noticed offers high price due to events happening around the area but Cassandra offers the best price. Overall, I had a great stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it to others.

For a 2-star hotel the room was ok. but the price was not. At booking.com the price was advertized almost half the price, as I had to pay for. I understand, that a hotel wants to make its advantage of the wildfires, but CAD 590 wasn't an appropriate price for an old fashioned room, next to an asbestos renovation.

What breakfast? Paid $300 I feel like I did stay in $75 hotel room. Looks like they bandaid the bathroom together. Will never stay at this hotel paying $300 I feel like I did pay for Ferrari received VW bug.

We were really pleased with our stay at the cassandra hotel as it is a very nice hotel, modern and with all the facilities needed. It is ideally situated for visiting the many sights in Vancouver as it is just round the corner from the bus/skytrain station. The staff are very good, especially the Receptionist, Handra, who was very friendly and helpful to all of their guests. She's very adorable.
