Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaIt suprised me by its 3-star rating. It's just a B&B with all help-your-self. You woudn't even meet a working people there. The breakfast was terrible and I was wonder where did those appraise for breakfast come from. It didn't worth the price paid. And it ended me with Booking, 'cause I found I couldn't trust the reviews on Booking and the hotel rating on Booking too.

Jo goes out if his way to run a great B and B. It is ideally located with lots of places to eat and drink nearby. The old town is easily accessed on foot or by the bus. On the day we left not only did Jo allow us to leave our luggage but also to relax at the property and use the washroom while we waited to meet our late train. Highly recommended.

CanadaThe only thing I would of like is a small little elevator. We had heavy luggage to lug to the second floor. That was the only thing I would change.
It was our first time in Quebec City and the Chateau Des Tourelles was in the perfect location for us. We had excellent service and the accommodation was very clean. We would recommend this charming Chateau Des Tourelles to all and we hope to return one day. We loved having the delicious breakfast brought right to our door!

United KingdomCorridors were very hot. Signs about shoe boxes but no boxes? Not easy to get an answer on the phone. Not enough signs to say where things were eg kitchen. Okay for us but very steep uneven stairs.
Lovely rooms, including shared space with good facilities. Great views. Good location. Comfortable beds. Nice old building with lots of character. Would stay there again.
