There were no instruction information on air con; TV and bed lighting in room. Needed maintenance person to show us the strip lighting switch for behind beds, Also no books on city areas or maps.

The location is impeccable! Walking distance to everything - downtown, the harbour, and Beacon Hill Park. I also appreciated having a suite; lots of room, and a patio with a view.

I would really prefer to have an hour in the evening at the pool for adults only. I always come with my family and obviously take the kids to the pool it's one of the reasons why we stay there. It would just be more enjoyable ti have some peaceful time to unwind.

We loved our room, especially the pillows.!! Love the view, the cleanliness. The staff were amazing. We had a great brunch at Vista 18 as well.

the view was of the venting, beds were felt crammed into the room and could hear the sound of Laundry running. when I spoke to the desk they first offices me drink vouchers but I was with my teen daughter, then a food voucher for their restaurant but it wouldn’t suit what my daughter eats. upon arrival from a town visit they had upgraded to a higher room . it was more about the venting and the the laundry. I feel they should have in the description that’s it’s a limited view property or something similar . I wasn’t expecting the best view but the view of the venting and roof below made me uncomfortable . along with the sound of the washer and dryer.

The older building is not as soundproof so early am (7 30 is) woke up to loud construction down the street. Would be nice to have complimentary parking in included with stay. Also elevators can be slow. Could use some softer pillow top beds.

The 1 bedroom suite was very nice and comfortable. Pillows were great and loved the shower and balcony. Really enjoyed the pool and hot tub and Clive's lounge.

the pool was too cold. it really wasn’t that swimmable. a lot of people were using the pool facility but most appeared to struggle with how cold the pool was. for a small indoor pool it could be maintained warmer. even others in the elevator noted how cold it was.

Couldn't find a thermostat in room that worked. Could hear neighbor plumbing. Nothing terrible.

Slightly dated but still very nice quality; staff were dedicated. You can tell the hotel is well looked after. Vista 18 restaurant was top notch; again, staff were outstanding.

some things are starting to get a bit run down, the hallways feel a bit old and dated and in the hotel room, doors and trim were chipping away and damaged. one bed was comfortable, the other felt like it was slipping off the box spring (but it wasn’t, I guess it was just worn out on one side) pool was FREEZING! We are used to cold lakes so we still got in, but I was hoping for a more comfortable pool time. it’s also difficult to get to.. lots of stairs and hallways. over all I think the hotel needs a few upgrades but the majority of our stay was wonderful.

very friendly staff, cocktail bar and restaurant right in the hotel make for a very fun atmosphere. Clean and a great location. fast elevators! hot apple cider in the lobby was a nice touch.

On one day our rooms simply weren't serviced at all. A perplexing blip.

An exceptionally comfortable suite on the 17th floor, impressive views. Delightful and helpful staff at reception. Invaluable shuttle bus service in downtown district.

This is an older property in general, so the normal wear and tear of the furnishings was noticeable. However, it was also cheaper than the newer hotels around it.

Room service meal from the restaurant was awful. We ordered 2 main course and spent around $40 per main menu item. The pasta was too spicy for my wife and my order of lamb was full of gristle. I would eat at the other nearby places if stayed there again.

The location was superb. 2 blocks to the water front and lots of places to eat nearby. The room was a good size as we stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and it had a pretty good kitchen with a a full size range.

Only complaint was the bed and sheets were uncomfortable.

The hotel was very nice and the staff were very friendly. Room was bigger then I expected which was a nice surprise.

A couple of outdoor chairs would have been useful on the balcony.

Chateau Victoria is in a great location and it is easy to walk to many local places of interest. Secure parking was also available. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We stayed in a One-Bedroom suite which had a separate lounge area. The room was very comfortable and there was a small kitchenette with a microwave. The hotel has a lovely lobby and bar. On the top floor is a restaurant with spectacular views over the city. We had cocktails there one evening and good breakfasts on two days.
