Was difficult to check in because the place was closed, we called the phone # indicated on the reservation and got a voice message only in French, which we don't speak. We had to depend on the good will of locals to call someone to check us in. Restaurant menu was only in French, but someone who spoke English said it would change. The hotel has no lounge area, if the weather is bad and you are a person how does not enjoy spend time drinking on the pub, there is no other place to go but your room. One night a staff open the door of our room trying to check some else in, I know it was a mistake, but it a was very uncomfortable situation, and they should be more careful.

The room accommodation and restaurant was excellent, the included breakfast was good, and the location was very attractive. The staff even though very few spoke English, they did their best to find someone who did, and all of them were very friendly, and so the local people. In front of the hotel there is a board walk on the edge of the water that connects to a pleasant park with activities (games), and to a nice trail into the woods, that was very nice.

Breakfast was OK, prefer more healthy (granola, yogurt, whole wheat bread). Would prefer dining room to be open every day but we understand we were there ahead of tourist season.

Insonorisation was sub-par. There was a leaky faucet that dripped 2 meters from the head of the bed.

Excellent value for the price. Breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly. It is located right by the restaurant, so you get a good dining option.

It was difficult to set the hot water in the shower.

Beautiful location. Restaurant with very regional and good food. The information about the room and the key was very clear. A super Nice 100 years'old bathroom. The bed was very confortable.

The people in charge of this place was really rude as i arrived there with more than 3 hours driving with rainy and cold weather. Hostile meteo and hostile place. I tried to reach them by phone but they didn't answer. Then I said I paid on Booking and my VISA was debited but she answer "NO, look on my computer" so I paid a 2nd time. When I had hairs in my bed and call back, her husband told me "barrez-vous" !!! Inadmissible

1 thing is my tv output wouldn’t run the HDMI cable from my Xbox but that wasn’t an issue because I brought my gaming unit

When we first arrived I realized it wasn’t going to be a normal motel. It had a very small family owned motel feel. It was smaller then your used to motel but I can’t honestly complain about anything and it just had a kind of home away from home feel. I only saw 2 staff, the owner the first day and then the cleaning lady. Stayed 5 nights and every time we went back I was extremely comfortable which I don’t useually have when staying at a motel, after a couple nights I wanna leave but here it was a pleasure to get back to at the end of the day. Thanks Auberge Chez Bass for a great stay and an amazing snowmobile trip

The Auberge was closed when we arrived and there was nobody. Nobody was answering the phone number provided on booking.com or google maps, nobody was answering messages either. We were waiting more than 30 minutes and already trying to find another accommodation, but then the owner finally appeared. He just explained that we supposed to call a different number, and he didn't even said sorry that we had to wait. He didn't seem to care. There was no such information before/after making the booking. Very unprofessional. I guess the place works better in full season than in mid October. Except that: - the restaurant and bar were closed (and that was one of the reasons why we booked this place; and there were basically no other options for a restaurant in the town) - the shower was working quite bad, you need to wait at least 10 minutes to get warm water (in the tap was working correctly) - the bathtub was very old or dirty, difficult to say (see photo)

- comfy bed, - cosy and clean room (except the bathtube), - very quiet, - sea view, - simple breakfast (tea/coffee, toasts, jams, yoghurts)

Unwelcoming staff on arrival. Probably over-priced in comparison with other accommods in the province.

Location, on the water, convenient. Probably good in fine weather, but on a rainy dark day, not so much.
