Restaurant service was terrible. A simple breakfast order took 45 minutes to arrive and there were only 5 occupied tables. The room had no closet at all and the end table for one of the beds was no where near the bed.

We stayed 2 nights, the room was barely cleaned in between days, dirty dishes left in room, coffee not refilled. Restaurant not open on sunday. Great location and amenities.

Free breakfast, bar should be open till midnight for drinks and music, added entertainment!, instead had to go to Midland for entertainment.

The dinning room was closed and no breakfast arrangements so if we didn’t know a bit about the area it wouldn’t have been a not happy moment needs a lot of up dating showing it’s age hoping they get that under control soon all the decks very shaky I’m sure if they were check but the fire department they might not pass inspection if they are not having dinning room open they should let people know before they check in

was charged $75 for an early check-in. not only was this a huge additional cost, but this was not pre-organised and therefore was not ‘guaranteed.’ the room was available and clean, representing $0 marginal cost to the hotel and yet we were charged 35% of the total room cost, disproportionate and greedy. What could have been an opportunity for the hotel to provide good service was instead an opportunity to squeeze more money out of us. also disappointed that we paid for a ‘balcony’ room. the balcony is a communal walkway.

like that the kayaks, canoes etc are available to guests free of charge and it’s a great spot to set off on the water.

There’s not much that could have been better. The TV in our room didn’t work. Maybe a few more breakfast options, but honestly… that’s about it.

The resort was fantastic, like the last time. It’s a beautiful place to visit and explore. The staff were all lovely to deal with. Our server for our dinner was absolutely phenomenal. He exceeded any and all expectations. Breakfast was great, too. We appreciated that it wasn’t a buffet (changed from our last stay). The breakfast options were great as well.

Not notified that pool and hot tub were unavailable, having to argue with staff because they were trying to charge fees I already paid. Told that they would take care of it, but charge on credit card when I got home. Room not clean and mold on ceiling in bathroom. This was to celebrate our anniversary, so very disappointing!

Picturesque location, so many things to do! The room was lovely and very comfortable. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Our room, which was $300 a night (taxes included) was comparable to a 2 star motel. The room was dated, dirty and lacked any sort of comfort. There was chipped paint all over the closet door frame, as well as remnants of painters tape on the front of the frame. The caulking around the shower tub walls looked like it was done in a rush. There were cobwebs all over the bathroom light fixtures. The furniture was all low quality Ikea type furniture, the bed creaked every time you moved, and the walls were so paper thin you could hear any time someone flushed a toilet or turned on the tap/shower in the room next door. The toilet paper provided was 1 ply, which is ridiculous considering the price of the room. The drink glasses left in the room had dried food particles stuck to them. We were so grossed out by it, we ended up walking to the general store down the road to buy plastic cups instead. We ate at the hotel restaurant, as there are very little restaurant options in town. The food was not awful but definitely overpriced for what it was (chicken fingers and fries cost $18). We asked for a drink off the menu only to be told that they had sold out. We asked for 2 appetizer options off the menu, and again we were told they were sold out. Pretty disappointing that they cannot keep on top of their ordering/inventory management. As for the staff, there was nothing wow about the service. Check in took a long time (10-15 minutes) and no one really made an effort to be friendly. We would definitely not stay here again. The photos online looked way more promising than what was delivered. Im leaving this review not to bash the hotel, but in hopes that the new owners will take these issues to heart and make the necessary changes to give their customers the $300/night experience that they are spending their hard earned money on.

The only redeeming quality about this resort is their indoor pool. It was nicely heated and quiet, however it looked like it did not get cleaned often as there were cobwebs all over the lounge chairs. The pool towels also left much to be desired- they were very small, basically the size of a hair towel and did not dry you off well.
