For over $500 CAD/day, no bottle water was available in the room. Checking in was not done efficiently even though we were the only ones there at the time

The pool was too cool. We specifically picked this hotel because of travelling with grandchildren who love to swim. Within minutes their lips would be blue and they were shivering. As a result we had to keep our swims short. As well in the change room the shower water was only freezing cold. Hot tub jets weren't working. We were travelling with our dog. The housekeeper would make noise in the hall, and our dog would bark once. Then I would get a text that my dog was barking. It was always just one bark due to staff making noise and we were in the room. Was it really necessary to complain to us? In one case the housekeeper knocked, we spoke with her and informed her that we would be out of the room with the dog after 1pm and then the room could be cleaned. She reported that she wasn't able to clean the room. Not correct.

The vending machines just eat your money and give you nothing. I was just trying to get bottled water. I would have liked more coffee also. The little machine in the room gave us a mouth full.

For the price you’re paying to stay in the hotel I think the rooms could use a bit of updating. They are really nice, but just outdated and need to be freshened up. However, having said this, I think I saw a sign that mentioned rooms will be renovated. But this will bring the price up of the hotel even more.

Loved the indoor/outdoor pool! It was very well maintained, clean, and large. Absolutely loved it!

Super expensive parking.

Walkable to much of what we wanted to do. A few GREAT nearby restaurants, very close. The downtown shuttle service was excellent & helpful.

The facility is quite dated. The walls of the shower room have stains on it. It is 30 minutes from town on foot, and the shuttle bus is free, but we need to prepare our car seat. Therefore, we didn't use the service.

APA hotel is one of my favorite hotel in Japan. I have been staying at many of them. The swimming pool and sauna were good. The toddler bed was really helpful. Coffee and Tea in the room is very refreshing and we loved the fruits infused water in the lobby.

Great choice for a hotel in Victoria. Beautiful and entertaining view over the harbour, watching the boats and sea planes. Nice warm indoor/outdoor pool, gym and sauna. Easy walk on the harbour side path either to downtown or the south coast. Comfortable beds.

Walk back from the downtown area which was a beautiful marina walk 10-15min.. Just got unlucky with rain once or twice.

Fantastic staff, very large and comfortable rooms. Complimentary lift into the downtown area if required. Nice restaurant and whale watching tours attached to the hotel.

Great restaurant including staff. Crab Benny a must-have. Loved to location with easy stroll to Fisherman’s wharf. Patio has amazing view into harbour (watching the sea planes come in).

We felt like the toilet in the bathroom was not necessary (heated seat and cleaning spray facilities) and money could have been better used re-tiling the floor which had cracked tiles on it.

The location of the hotel by the water front was beautiful - just what we were looking for.
