The hotel is in the middle of renovations and most things in the room were not plugged in like the fridge, etc. Also being an 80 year old with bad knees, the climb up the stairs to the 3rd floor with luggage was a challenge

The carpet needed a cleaning.. There was crumbs of food on the floor from the previous people. No coffee machine in the room, which all hotels now have in their rooms. The mirror was dirty with ( I guess finger prints on it), not cleaned.

The hotel was fine. The location was good. It was in a quiet area, away from the busy Main Street activities. The room was spacious.

I booked a pet friendly 3 months prior to the visit but upon checking in the staff told me there were no pet friendly rooms available despite checking in at 3pm. I was told I had to pay an extra $50 for my shihtzu to stay. This pissed me off.

The Bar/Pub in the same builidng attracted only few people, but they were in a different mood. We felt a bit wiered, having drunken people close to the lobby. (already in the afternoon there was a man sleeping over his drink.) Also does the lobby feel cold and dark. the reception is behind a glass front and there was a sign for the employed "do always lock this door." so we wonder what was/is happening in this place. But for one night it was fine to sleep.

The room was clean - to a point. My mom found pubic hair on the bathroom toilet seat before we’d even fully unpacked, and there were old peanuts next to the tv and fan from a previous guest. Not enough pillows, either, hard to get comfortable to sleep.

The location was awesome, practically right in the middle of downtown corner brook. 8 minute drive from the university, 2-3 from Tim’s and the main stretch. Very close to the movie theatre. You could probably walk everywhere you wanted to go (aside from parks and the school) in 15 minutes or less, AND it’s extremely close to the arts and culture centre if you want to catch a show or check out the local artist’s work in the gallery! :)

There were a lot of homeless people around the building. The lighting was poor in the parking lot and door-front. The building looked run-down and sketchy. I did not feel safe or secure. Also, the room itself (while still clean) looked like a cheap rundown motel room or dorm room out of a movie. The doors were difficult to shut and open. All in all, nothing really wrong with the place, just wasn't a comfortable stay and wasn't worth the price in my opinion.

The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The 24hr front desk was very convenient. The location was also convenient as it was practically just off the highway (so, easy to get to and from places) and was along Main St where many restaurants were.

The hotel was qiet and comfortable. I reserved on very short notice so I was happy to get two rooms for our stay. One room was several floors away and there is no elevator. This was all explained before I booked. The wi-fi was marginal except in the lobby.

It was a really hot day so we had to keep the window open all night. It became very stuffy and I actually became very ill from the heat. The construction work ( in the parking lot) started at 7:00 am. It made for a very tired and unpleasant day due to lack of sleep.
